Yet another Mary fucking Earps article on the BBC sports headlines site.
Get lucky with a penalty save, scream "fuck off" to the camera a few times in celebration, become a legend of the women's game.
No no how silly of me play for Manchester Utd women's team, win 1 trophy with them ever and then become a media celebrity and legend of the sport

The amount of var decisions that went the dippers way after Cootes spoke the truth about them.
Helping the dippers win the league in a season when they had a clear run at it, thanks to everyone else having a poor season.

Dippers drop off after winning the *covid pl and last season is odd. Is it a mental thing or a season of the peds ? Im sure some brave hack will investigate these dramatic drop off's

It's Tuesday, I have just turned on Sky Sports and Michael Owen is pontificating about the dreadful decision,

Notwithstanding his status as the dreariest, most vacuous pundit on TV, is there no end to the wretched band of partisan heads on sticks to be wheeled out?

Who's next, the ghost of Emlyn Hughes?
Works against them . Most fans of other teams see straight through this . Of course Liverpool fans are blind to it ,which makes them even more insufferable .

Re your last line ( I'm not savvy techy enough yet on here to quote individual lines!!), but yes I agree 100%. Who was it in the Dipper camp- or was it the media, because the clip of the Wolves Bernie goal ' incident' appeared mighty quickly....
Was Slott even in this country when the Wolves match happened? Is he the memory man? It was pushed by the media. A bit like he claimed to have seen our Swansea line-up before his own match while he was preparing his own team. Just lies fed to him by his PR people or someone on the broadcast team. A fabricated story. A bit like splicing two emails together or editing a quote half way through a sentence. This is the state of modern media.

How many articles have been published since Sunday, every tom dick and harry on what I would change in the rules of football seems to be in every newspaper radio channel or online news channel. there would have been nowt if the non goal was for City.

Absolutely, and if they’d have scored that goal against us not a chance there would have been a Howard Webb tv special to address the nation on the wrong doing.

It’s deflection tactics away from the state of their team. They’ve spent a shit ton of money on players who are not doing the business at the moment, plus given out contract extensions to Salah and Van Dijk who are now regressing alarmingly.

What a difference last season is to this when the scouse media love in was in full pelt. They were writing the eulogy on Guardiola’s management career that he was finished at the top. Fast forward to now we have a young developing squad (by no means the finished article yet) playing some fantastic football with a generational talent like Haaland scoring goals for fun. The key take away is Pep learns, reinvents and makes you eat your words.

Don't remember any media shit storm over the very dodgy penalty Liverpool were awarded in injury time at Turf Moor in September. Burnley and their supporters suckled it up and got on with it. We had a similar hoo har to this in 23 24 season when a decision went against them at Spurs. No other team not even the rags, gets this kind of Media support. Get over. It Liverpool it's footy these things happen, remember " it all evens out over a season".

Ah but they don't want it to 'even out' over a season. If there's a LotG leg-up in a game they seem to think they are entitled to it. They are only interested in the their turn on the swings; they don't give a flying fuck for a turn on the roundabout.

Media snorefest. "Not offside......not offside...........not interfering with play........ he's so small as to be insignificant; it was a goal..... look at Donnarumma's arms! And, he's Italian anyway!!"

Yawn yawn yawn!

Do we know - at last - what they did with the Coutinho money?

They invested it for a few years; it grew; then, they threw it all away!

Hahahahahahahahaha!!!

Your posts in this are spot on.. 'the state of modern media' indeed..

This continued farrago of nonsense reminds me of the similar furore cooked up around the infamous Adebayor/Van Persie incident in our 4-2 win over Arsenal in 2009 (when Adebayor also ran the length of the pitch to give some back to the Arsenal fans who'd been taunting him and his family, quite vilely, all afternoon)

Adebayor was correctly found guilty of recklessly injuring Van Persie, being banned for three games and he was given a three game ban (suspended) for his celebrations in front of the Arsenal fans.

But the remarkable (and forgotten?) thing was that within moments of the game finishing, social media accounts in Van Persie's and Arsenal's names swung into action calling for action against Adebayor, with mainstream media picking up on it instantly. Once it started, the media groundswell against Adebayor was unstoppable.

Yet, Van Persie's tweets were done straight after the game at a time when he should have been warming down and getting treatment for the cut to his temple.. surely, the Arsenal wouldn't employ a minion to do this sort of thing?!

And you'd have to be a partial, biased City fan to suggest anything 'untoward' about the media's coverage of the incidents during that game which followed on for weeks.. just as with the game last Sunday..?!

Funny you should say that because according to the Liverpool Echo he says it wasn't offside.

Absolute bellend of a cokney bindipper fan on sky now spouting about 115 and Doku getting away with a foul against McAllister by the same ref (Oliver) that gave offside on Sunday even though it was Kavanagh. There is a City fan on aswell but unfortunately doesn't seem upto putting him straight

The City fan is just wet. Literally just saying what he thinks people want to hear so he probably gets the gig again. It was even him that brought up Bernardo offside at Wolves, basically doing the propaganda job for them.

Can't believe they're still going on about it. It's happened so fucking get on with it. I don't know how it's even a big conversation or considered controversial. If Robertson doesn't duck it hits him whilst he's in an offside position, so he is interfering with play by ducking out the way!!
It’s the top three stories on the Sky Sports app and the game was 4 days ago. Their lackeys in the media are definitely doing their bidding for them to get some decisions in their favour after the international break.
