In Delaney's case, Newcastle was equally targeted in almost the same terms and the same sneers and slurs. He got into some online exchanges with them too, and it got quite toxic. I have a recollection that it became pretty clear that he was instructed to dial it back by his bosses.

As you say, it's not difficult to think of something City and Newcastle have in common.

I’ve directly argued with Delaney before, when you challenge him he has little to no substance behind his arguments. I pressed him on “Sports Washing” and why buying a sports club in the most toxically partisan sport in the world, is a good way to improve your reputation, especially when said club will be challenging the established elite of the sport and ruffling feathers just by improving.

He had no real response and ended up just not responding when I pressed him. They do this all the time, leave cheap remarks and then have nothing behind it.

Oh, that was just great - well worth a watch. Pissed myself laughing at Roney’s stories of “bottler banter” on his way to the Etihad. His still thinks Arsenal will win all their remaining games. I wonder if he has realised that they will get “bottler” rammed down their throats in every game they have left. Opposition fans will have a field day. Whatever happens it will be great to watch.

He is a desperate, bitter and broken man.
It's ironic that Woolwich Arsenal bought the best manager of the 1920's, Herbert Chapman, from little old Huddersfield Town.
Money talked then Barney, as it always has done...

By Ronay's theory its amazing that Liverpool are currently 5th and out of all cups, as Salah and Van Dijk are paid a lot more than all of the players that they play against in the league apart from 1.

United aren't winning anything either despite Casemeiro being in the top 4 highest earners in the league.

They really do believe that their opinion matters when in reality they are just fanzine writers who use their position to spew out bile as a way of appeasing the deluded fellow fuckwits that any club that threatens their self entitled place at the top could not have done it genuinely but only by cheating.
Journalists my fuckin arse.

Most broadcasters usually try to mask out bad, inflammatory or defamatory audio, whereas the BBC seemingly actively chose to add it in themselves here. Make of it what you will..
