Wasn't it more of a case of his agent Paul Stretford threatening the rags with him leaving them to join us and making them smash their wage structure by giving him a new contract of £300,000 a week rather than the MIBS( MIBS? fucking lol) going to his house?
It was more about Ferguson & Gill trying to railroad the Glazers into improving the wage structure, which had a £90k a week ceiling at the time (Oct 2010). Us and Chelsea were paying nearly double that back then. Rooney's agent asked for £180k and the Glazers initially refused.

Stretford approached us but we asked for evidence of this 'transfer request' before we'd talk numbers, which we never got. Chelsea did get sucked in and put £160k a week on the table. As soon as they did that, united went back to the Glazers, who caved in.

The BBC is run by the security services, it is by its very nature biased.
BBC Charter for reference

"Impartiality lies at the heart of public service and is the core of the BBC’scommitment to its audiences. It applies to all our output and services -television, radio, online, and in our international services and commercialmagazines. We must be inclusive, considering the broad perspective andensuring the existence of a range of views is appropriately reflected. The Agreement accompanying the BBC Charter requires us to do all we can toensure controversial subjects are treated with due impartiality in our news andother output dealing with matters of public policy or political or industrialcontroversy1. But we go further than that, applying due impartiality to all subjects."

He’s also a lying **** with his made up story about the train driver! The Etihad is not to your left as you approach Piccadilly station; unless the fucking train backed in!
Yeah I spotted that in the short bit I heard.
Its almost as though he was writing making up story as he headed back to the safety of Manchester United heartland…

I

It is if you’re coming into platform 13 from Oxford Road.
Isn’t he London based though? Would you even be able to see The Etihad coming in that way? I’ve never done that journey! Do you really believe a train driver would say that over the tannoy, he’s a bullshitter.

You see it coming into Piccadilly (or rather before the approach into Picc)

They must be impartial if they say so!
