And here's a similar take from Alan Tyers in The Telegraph https://archive.ph/HwCSM

Thing is I read this and it’s like every Man City games I watch that the commentators favour whoever we play and the “I’ve seen them given” is familiar for a player going down in our box! Or usually when ours is a pen that’s not given they go on about why they see it wasn’t a pen! It’s steeped in all games for me and it’s spoils the game!

Why I want I one commentator on a game not three! Just imagine how much money there companies could save if they did that! Better still get a fan of both teams sat there helping the commentator out!

Here's an article that is so full of hate for City , while being nominally about Arsenal and their limits against PSG , that I choked on my cornflakes .

First plucky Arsenal . Had to play their foul game of fine margins to compete with PSG.

Apparently couldn't compete with PSG on the night because they were missing their two first choice RBs . Give me strength. We've won it all with only two full blooded FB in a decade ( thank you Kyle and Cancelo) .

Then goes on to rant that Arsenal can't compete financially . In an article about PSG and Arsenal he then lists City's transfers as if that spending came from the pockets of our owners and not from winning trophy after trophy and CL qualification for years and years . It was Arsenal who bankrolled their team with interest free shareholder loans remember?

Get the fella some counseling before he fires himself into orbit on a rush of bile fueled by hate and prejudice . Poor little Arsenal my arse .

At every opportunity these so called journos lard their copy with anti City bile . If it's not a full frontal like this it's putting a photo of Donnarumma sitting down in a piece on goalkeeper "injuries" when we all know it was a tactic introduced by Arsenal . Or puff pieces on Rags women's team the day before the FACup final . It's propaganda pure and simple .

Returning from the daily swim this morning while listening to the R4 News programme, She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed suddenly switched channels, complaining that she was 'sick of the news, it's nothing but depressing doom and gloom..'

She eventually alit upon Virgin Radio's Chris Evans (no relation!) Show, from which we caught the last few minutes of an interview with (the excellent) Keifer Sutherland. Chris Evans terminated the chat by saying 'You're off to TalkSport now for another interview..' and proceeded to update Keifer on all things football in recent days.

'So..' says Keifer in summary '..let me get this straight.. Arsenal lost.. and Liverpool sacked their manager? Arsenal lost? Sad news.. Liverpool sacked their manager? Sad news..'

Now that's the kind of football journalism that I like! Succinct, to the point, no stupid speculation or ar*e -licking!

I thought, 'You'll do for me, Kiefer..!' Just a shame that the Ginger One didn't add into his summary the fact that Manchester City Women completed a League/Cup double yesterday at Wembley.. would've put the icing on the cake..

Their bias shows in almost everything they report on, and also what they refuse to report on, and still some posters on here think they’re unbiased and independent. The biggest joke is they have the audacity to have something called ‘BBC verify’. Laughable.

Don't even get me started on Marianna Spring - The BBC disinformation specialist - she lied on her CV to get the job.

Unless I've missed something isn't Arsenal's net spend over the last five years significantly higher than PSGs ?

I'd have more respect for the likes of Liew and Ronay if they didn't pretend they were journalists rather than marketeers. Don Draper had more integrity than some of these guys.

The above is post #12,081 27th April which the BBC rehashed the original article from then to today. As mentioned further up in the posts it still shows Donnarumma. It is only the BBC author Dale Johnson x account where it shows an image of Raya, but no context unlike the article which will get many more hits.

As someone has said Donnarumma not even going to the World Cup unlike Raya. Deliberate by BBC or/and they are brain dead.

I also see the author has on his x account from Saturday gleefully stated that Arsenal benefitted the most along with Chelsea from incorrect VAR decisions by PL refs and VAR officials. 3 pens and red cards should have been given against Arsenal. We already know they had no red cards and no pens against them.
Raya with ‘cramp’ in CL perhaps a more relevant image

The BBC site DEFINITELY changed the image. Wayback Machine doesn't lie....

They did benefit from £259 million in interest free director loans which they utilised whilst the Premier League knowingly of unknowingly ran an illegal rule book.

And credit for the description of Jack Whitehall.
And Gabriel! Later, after Gabriel sent his penalty towards the Slovakian border, TNT insisted that ‘our hearts go out’ to him. Possibly, until you remember he’s arguably the Premier League’s biggest sh*thouse and this generation had its John Terry moment.

Well i laughed my way through tea.

BBC just can't help themselves can they.

Article about tactical timeouts being banned next year and a piccy of The Don in the headline.
Tactical time outs have always been banned. For some reason Arsenal have been allowed to have them all season. Their players walk on and off the field without permission all the time. Arteta comes out of his area all the time to distract opponents taking throw ins. His coaching team hide the balls, even those set up on mounds. They have done it all season and officials have done nothing.
