Wio in 02/03 for £41.4M (@ £63M in current value)

After that, Wooney in 04/05. £33.3M (@ £48.4M in current value) for an 18yo.

Robinho was 10 years after Wio (£36.4 in current value).

In fairness sky are not saying this but are reporting what our head of recruitment from 2008-2012 stated. But yes a load of complete cobblers.

But it did change them and the whole of english football with it.It was culmination of propably the greatest final day of a transfer window which sky and jim white have been living out on ever since.Weather the change was good is a matter of opinion.

"Ruined the transfer market"

Translation: showed the established 'big clubs' that they wouldn't have it all their own way for much longer.

What a crock of shit!

How much did the Rags pay for the likes of Veron, Camel Gob, Shrek et al and how far back were those purchases? PSG paying £50m for Sideshow Bob is another one. As stated above, Robinho was merely the owner making a statement to the footballing world.

Hilarious. It's our fault that PSG paid £200m for an overrated prima donna

I'm sure on the very same day the rags paid practically the same amount for berbatov who had nowhere near the same high profile status as Robinho

it's a daily pleasure to see how much our rise hurts 'em so deeply.
we really have pissed on all their chips.

Can't wait for the day when we pay £200 million for a player, it will be joyous, the more they gnash their teeth and spit their dummies out the better
