Giroud was criticised the other night. Jesus was praised today and criticised. Ota was rightfully hammered, and he deserved no less. Sterling is targeted uniquely but that’s a weird one. Neymar was hammered today. If rashford replaces sterling and fluffs his lines, he will be slated. No treatment we get is unique. Ask around, we are the darling and so are our players - unless you support us and think otherwise and also as an aside think other clubs get favourable treatment.
"Jesus was praised today and criticised" - more the latter than the former.
"Sterling is targeted uniquely but that's a weird one" - it's not 'unique' or 'weird' - he left the dippers and joined City that's the main reason and there other reasons (which we all know about but I don't really want to go into, you know what I mean). So it is 'unique' treatment.
"We are the darling and so are our players" - fcuks sake we are hated by most of the media, we are certainly not 'the darling'.Ludicrous statement.
You stank the forum out some years ago with this kind of bull and had to leave, so please don't start it again.

No pal you gave a smart alec response and I pointed out that it was not actually that clever after all.

Anyway I am anal, the other posters displays a lack of knowledge, is a wise guy. Maybe you should look at your posting style. Anyway lets leave it there as there as there is little point in distracting from the discussion or even sharing debate.

I’ve already stated that it’s not the whole media. Certain journalists and pundits who don’t support City seem to be able to look at the bigger picture and report fairly.
Others seem to forget that they’re supposed to be impartial but let their allegiance to their club cloud their judgement. They’re supposed to be professionals, not fans.

I think thats life mate. There is impartialy and bias but its not unique to us and is just representative of peoples affiliations. Its no different to Carragher or Gerard commenting on United, Ferdinand or Scholes commenting on City or Pool or even our very own Mike Wedderburn commenting on United. Even in a roundabout way you are displaying a bias as you are only acknowledging when a bias impacts on City and not other strains of impartiality.

Do you think that they’ll ever be a time when the rags play a European game and the pundits would be gerrard, mcmanaman and carragher? Or for a dippers game, scholes, camel and keane?
There’s too many occurrences Frank for anyone to seriously suggest that it’s the same for everyone. Others may feel targeted but when you can offer proof, it’s a bit more compelling.

Nothing is the same for everyone and none of us have access to all the info or time to determine if everything is the same. Life does not fit perfectly like that.

But the point Pidge is making earlier is fans of other clubs think they have proof of bias. Its just a consequence of viewing something through their own prism and displaying a bias they then criticise others for.

Just because we are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get us.

Not all media hate us, not every article about other teams or players is positive. Sometimes the media will say nice things about some of our players or club. All of these are true.

However like many blues, I feel that the is an anti city bias amongst the media in general. In a significant number of debates , discussions, or analysis it seems that we are always belittled, our attachievments under played, our players at fault or not as good. We set half a dozen all time top flight records including points and goals, and yet aren't great like the invincibles because we haven't done it over a number of years. The media have to admit we were the better team last year because the facts say so, but you feel that on any issue where it is opinion we are going to get the shitty end of the stick.

Drop Stones and Walker. Let's pretend that Rashford, Lingard and Young are world beaters. Sterling is gun totting, lazy, bling, and not as good as Jordan f**king Ibe. Then wonder why England fail.

And to the WUMS on here, you know who you are. Have fun, we got 100 points and Sterling won the league.
