Is the club doing anything about it? It's so persistent, increasingly nasty and there doesnt seem to be and end in sight.

Those that will say "don't listen" are missing the point. I want to be able watch, read and listen to balanced coverage of my tram and sport.

The questions to be asked are why we are not expanding our fan base to an extent that we can sell out without advertising tickets on Talkshite for the first home game of the season after spending over £200 million on international stars?
And why are fans around the country booing our players?

It's been non stop drip drip of negativity in the rag media from day one, they know what they are doing.

I was listening to 5 dead last Friday on my way to the podiatrist, and the female presenter, whilst talking about the booing of Gatland, said words to the effect of " and we all know how public opinion is influenced by what they read in the media"!

No further comment needed really.

This ties in nicely with the final line of the preceding post.

Brighton fans were booing Walker and Danilo throughout the game on Saturday. Sterling got it regularly last season and it's set to continue when he plays this season.

I contribute on this regularly here as it really hacks me off. But the season has now started the crap handed out to us & the arse licking by the media to most of the others has become a frenzy with no attempt to hide it.

But but but, what does it really mean - here is a thought - the decision makers in the media, a lot of them rags, must be seriously GREEN EYED about our wonderful club. They KNOW we are going to be very successful this season & if that aint bad enough our signings & youth policy will ensure this continues for years & years.

Get stuffed bbc, mail & all the rest, you are pathetic.

Our nice approach to the media has done a lot of damage to our image imo. We let them make up all sorts of bullshit and never hit back, inviting them in to slander us more.

I assume the club is thinking long term and maybe in 10/20 years we will look back and the media will be on our side, who knows. All I know is most fans get their opinions from the media and what they read about us is constantly negative with all our achievements downplayed. Look how little recognition our players get, Aguero with the highest goals / min in the PL ever and never mentioned along the lines of Henry or Shearer.

We have fans up and down the country booing our players now because of the media, pundits saying we have overrated overpriced players because any mistake is made into a mountain, no other clubs players get scrutinised the same way. The faux outrage over player fee's that is ignored for any other club in the world, compare to how Madrid where hyped positively as "The Galactico's" for spending big money on players or closer to home the money wasted by the Rags since red nose left and still nothing of value to show for it, not even one title challenge and barely any criticism pointed in their direction.

These wankers in the media must be hurting, I hope we can piss them off some more.
