Question: Where is David Conn these days ?

Answer: Bitching in the Guardian about the Girona deal. Even though he states no rules have been broken he bitches and whinges, line after line. I think their is a Ric rule about putting links up, if there isn't I will let someone else do it but it is a great read. great if you are a bitter and twisted sad shit that is.

He's right though.

It is odd that of all the clubs in the world that City could buy a stake in they choose the one where Pep's brother has a financial benefit in player loans, of which there are currently 5.

I admit I raised an eyebrow when CFG bought them but Conn isn't saying it is wrong because it is a 'bribe' to keep Pep at City, nor is he saying that it is a 'bribe' to help Peps brother out, the whole article is just a moan. He admits the CFG have not broken FIFAs rules but moans. He admits they haven't broken the FA rules but moans. The trouble with the article is there is no substance to his moans they are just that. It is like someone saying that it is wrong that their neighbour bought a Ferrari, asked why it is wrong they reply 'it just is that's all'
If he was a proper journalist he would have asked relevant questions about the ownership of the club rather than just moaning. Sad bastard.

If he were just some random journo who'd thought it was a bit odd I'd agree with you, but this is a guy that actually has a history of writing anti-City material, so you know he's got an agenda. And as @Blue Mist said above me, this is only further substantiated when you realise there's no actual journalism in the article. It's merely a guy who doesn't like City complaining about things and how he doesn't like City.

"Pere Guardiola was free to buy his 44.3% share of the Catalan club, with The City Football Group – the overarching global corporation owned by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al-Nayan – buying an equal 44.3% stake."

Fine. I'm sure it is all above board and the fact that it's Pep's brother is just one of those coincidences that happens from time to time.

MEN.

5.40pm.

City headline.

The saga has moved on, but the MEN headline hasn't.
