Do the media or anyone else really understand what is happening? We are about to become the biggest team in the world over the next 5 years. I'm not sure that it's actually what I want but I'm sure that's what's gonna happen. I'd rather we just be City from Maine Road and retain our identity. Can you actually believe we have players like de bruyne and Merlin. Where is Ali b and muncher Morrison when you need them

Each entitled to our opinion, and that's your view. I wasn't at 'York Away', but I did literally drag my young kids to every single game we played in the Second Division, they watched shite, week after week whilst their little buddies at school were running around in plastic shirts with their team winning everything in sight. They, and every other City fan put up with the Relegations, the mocking, & for us adults the never ending mickey taking taking at work, and the media contempt for our club.

I'm happier for that generation that had to put up with the dross to see where we are now than my own. I was lucky enough to see Colin Bell play, Tueart, Doyle and Alan Oakes but given the choice life as a City after 2008 wins everytime for me.

I can't be arsed when I hear people say, "I'm not sure that it's actually what I want or I'd rather we just be City from Maine Road and retain our identity", for me that attitude can fuck off. Sorry BuryBlue, that isn't a personal insult but literally I can't be arsed with that attitude.

Back on topic, media bias? Today's Mail online how Pep buys success. No link not hard to find. No mention of Wenger or Mourinho buying success though.

......or the numero uno of "buying" success, that ungracious bully who had a stint at the Trafford plastics.

Dunno if it's been posted about but there's a big piece in the daily Fail about how Pep Guardiola has only ever bought success.

I am Not posting a link because those ****s don't deserve it

Its a pretty sloppy piece but I'm less and less bothered by what the media say nowadays, we get plenty of praise because the facts speak for themselves. No team have ever won the league without spending money (Leicester might have spent less than most) but what I'd really like to see is an article about managers who have bought mediocrity. Lets compare say the net spend of Sean Dyche at Burnley with the outlay of clubs several places below them in the table or rather than saying City have bought the league how about some focus on how much the rags have spent to buy second place (or 6th last season)

Just brining it to the attention of the frothing masses pal!

It was in the stars. As soon as Dave Ewing booted that ball out of Maine Road and bounced it on top of the bus depot on Princess Parkway, I just knew this would come to pass!

I too am happy to admit I wasn't at York away but I did put up with some absolute shite in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's with some highlights dotted in between. I'm loving the football now and it's like a dream. I love the football and our style of play. I don't miss paying some fucker to "look after my car". I'm just not sure I want to be China's number 1 club. But on reflection I think you're right. If that's how it has to be then so be it. We remember where we came from but need to move with the times. This team is something special.

That first paragraph sums it up for me. The 20 odd years of shite we all put up with off predominantly the rag shitheads makes what's happening now pure bliss.

On the back of the attack on Sterling, Barney Ronay is finally calling out his ridiculous treatment in the press ; not before time

Yet another excellent read from Barney. Just want to point out mate in relation to you saying that he's finally calling it out that Mr. Ronay has consistently called out the dickheads for their treatment of Sterling.
