I see it as proof of our success really.

Yesteryear it was about who could give Barce or RM a game with them seen as the pinnacle of football excellance, now we are seen in similar light so it has become an acceptance of our superiority with a best of the rest seen as our potential competition.

The media have at least two good reasons to ignore our successes, first of all it is expected ie it is not news just repetition that we beat other teams and secondly that their main subscription base is not yet dominated by City fans.
Like that bit.

I love the repeated comments that we can't be a great team till we win multiple titles. They have airbrushed 2012, 2014, and 2016 out of history. If we win the league this year it will be seven trophies since 2011 (eight if you include the Rags' favourite the community shield).

No offence but as soon as I read Talk Sport i stopped reading, they need to generate hits/listeners/controversy so they will say anything to get people phoning in. It is a mickey mouse station run to make money rather than be an honest broadcaster.
Isn`t all media the same? utter shite. Don`t fall for it.

The fact that they're talking about us being a great team speaks volumes.
I would like to hear why the pundit who doesn't think we're great thinks why not.
I also don't think we need these no marks telling us their opinion.
This City team is the greatest we've seen, and we've seen some shite!

Not only that; the landscape has completely changed. When United and Arsenal dominated it was usually two top teams competing for the league. Now there are 5 or 6.

Just had a look at domestic trophies won from 2010/2011 by the 'big six'

Us 6 with probably a 7th shortly
Rags 4
Chelsea 4
Arse 3
Dippers 1
Spurs 0

Others
Leicester 2
Wigan 1
Birmingham 1
Swansea 1

I'd say that makes us the team of the 2010's so far and probably the team of the decade.

I'm sorry you can't just ignore European trophies as it suits your argument. That's as bad as Utd counting CS or super cups in their total.

Real totals are.

City 6
Chelsea 6
Utd 5
We are 99% there to number 7. But good odds Utd or Chelsea win the Fa cup.

I think we will win most trophies this decade though but let's not make up the stats to suit our agenda.

I think you need to look at social media hits and haircuts. Counting trophies is so last year.

F***ing Sly Sports News, just now.

Showing City's next five fixtures home and away.

They had us away at Basel coming up.

That's right, Basel(A).

What a f***ing joke they are.

With all their stats, data, staff, etc, they got that wrong.

If that was United, Liverpool or Arsenal, that would have never happened.

Sly Sports News joke!

Not been able to take Sky Sports News seriously since they started doing Championship Manager stats on players, scoring them out of 20 and comparing 2 players stats

Stan now suggesting Liverpool should spend megabucks buying Buffon!

It’s good that the Dippers need a keeper - with the fee they got for Coutinho they will get taken to the cleaners and anyone half decent will cost them a world record fee - of course being them it’ll be great value but will dent their options this summer I hope. How old is the Buffon ? 40ish
