Not all of course - just a fucking large number.

I tell you what would be interesting - and that is if the mods were to attach a pool to this thread, simple question.

"Do you think that there is a level of anti-CITY bias in the coverage of premier league football by the media?"

It would be interesting to see the result and if, as I suspect, there is a fair percentage that considers that to be the case then perhaps some 'fervent' posters could 'allow' those of that view to discuss it amongst themselves.
It really would'nt, We know out of yes or no which side would have a majority, in fact I'd be surprised if the yes answer didnt top 95%. However that could equally be argued an indication of some of our paranoia as a genuine reflection of the media coverage we get. for the record if think we do get the shitty end of the stick in the coverage we endure, certainly more than most and without question more than any of our direct rivals. But as I said above we could help ourselves out a bit by being a little less touchy and differentiating between genuine anti city drivel from perceived slights.

Brennan's ok.

Sky released their Brahim documentary yet? Interviews with old school teachers and an uncle trying to take the credit? If it was the rags Paddy Barclay would be leading calls to nationalise him, young player of the year would be over and Macari would be showing the receipt he's kept from Brahim's first bag of chips.

This forum represents less than 1% of match going blues. Im fairly sure if they read some of utter fuckin shite written on here they'd think they had stumbled on a David Icke forum.
Well as a match-going blue of 50 years I would suggest that you are absolutely correct

From my very many dealings with very many blues at matches I would suggest that the majority would think that people expounding views that there is not wide-spread bias against CITY and towards the scum are certainly living in some David Icke world.

But my point is why to you and some others get so exercised and determined to prevent other true blues having a thread to discuss their views?

If it is all so preposterous - why do you make so much effort to belittle other people's views?

I know of the perfect candidate to work on our behalf in the media

He would soon be outed as biased against us. I have read on here of Andy Hinchcliffe being criticised in the past.

The thing is no one from what I can see is attempting to 'prevent other true blues' discussing their views, as you correctly stated in another post, this is a forum and everyone on here is entitled to post their opinion on the subject within the coc and lets be (ahem) frank, this would be a very boring place if we all agreed on everything. There really isn't any belittling going on, there's just a handful of people having the temerity to disagree with you.

Ah right. So Frank gets absolutely fuckin hammered on here. Called every name under the sun. When someone gives it back you start whinging.

Well - I do not think that the percentage wold be as high as you suggest - but let's hypothetically go with it for a moment.

Does that then mean that - on a forum for CITY fans to interact - the views and concerns of the much smaller minority that we can come across as paranoid should prevail and be sufficient to deny the very large majority the space and opportunity to discuss a topic about CITY that they care about?

And @ FS - you asked I think about why I called your approach a crusade/campaign - at least the question was something like that and I cannot be bothered checking as I am off to the pub.

My response would be - as my question was in the earlier post - that you should just reflect yourself on your approach. Take the hypothetical 95 / 5% example of Matt on the views of CITY fans - should that not, to a degree, be reflected in the number of posts rom posters with differing views?

Well I am pretty sure that is not the case - the naysayers post in much higher volumes - it is like some of the politics threads in off-topic where contrary views must be drowned out by volume. You speak about the amount of flak that you get and that a lot of your posts are responses to these - but are you not, through a level of self-indulgence, prompting those responses to you that in turn give you the fuel for your 'passion'.

Anyway - just my opinion and not one I feel exercised enough about to delay me going to the pub.

But I will repeat the first polite question - are you going to keep this up?

I do not suggest there is a problem with you posting in the thread - of course that is absolutely not my business - and not my view as the 'counter-views' should always be welcomed. But If you are going to continue in the relentless volume that you have done to date - I will acquiesce and not bother with the thread as I am wanting to discuss the topic not have these sorts of exchanges.

So - as you clearly seem to be a well intended and fair-minded chap I would suggest/request that you do some self-reflection because you are in fact preventing other CITY fans from partaking in/enjoying this thread - IMHO.

I`ve no idea Ajm ? Irrespective of his allegiances he really has given us wonderful revues over the years.I accept that not everything is positive and their are some things that I`ve not agreed with him over. But he is overall a very well balanced reporter and if you read his views on the media outcry on spending £50M on full backs,he has stuck two fingers up to the rest and says they are here for the long run and its not a short term fix.
By the way he loves Pep and his philosophy on how football should be played and regularly has little digs at Maureen and his tactics.
Give the guy a break some of you.

Completely agree with this. He always argues our corner

'What we learned' according to Mark Ogden.

1 City are getting the ball forward quicker, which will be harder to stop by bus parking.
2 Real will be much better with Ramos & Ronaldo & Kroos etc..
3 Bale is becoming a bit part player but the way he left VK 'for dead' will interest Man Utd etc...
4 Sterling & Jesus need to stay on their feet more as basically, they are a pair of divers etc etc...
5 Danilo showed flaws which would be exposed in the Premier League & will have to shape up...

So on the whole, not that many positives for City, on the night they beat Real Madrid 4-1 but encouragement for Utd in their chase for Gareth Bale.
