I think my overall assessment was I didn't think we deserved to go through. Others have said we did. Even without the decisions they thought we played well which I find pretty strange. I guess it could of been different had the goals not been chalked off, who knows.

I agree with you, to a point. No body knows what that outcome could've been. We all know what it WAS.
We didn't go through and it's all history now.

Was that BT?

If so they have form for that. When the rags drew 0-0 away to Seville after playing terribly they said "Brilliant, it's advantage Utd."

They praise the rags, Liverpool etc and want them to win. They don't really do it to us though.
after the final whistle at the end of the seville-rags first leg when it was 0-0 , the commentator excitedly announced " JOB DONE FOR UNITED" i was annoyed at that comment because the rags had been outplayed for the most of the game , they absolutely do talk bullshit when it comes to bigging up anything pro rag

What a pile of bitter tripe that article is. Even worse is reading the comments after. Shall keep away from the guardian in future, too many do gooding lefties who want to save the world from the sheik

The comments on the Guardian match reports have now descended to the BBC level, pure bitterness.

Just read the Sunday Times Sport section .... nearly every team gets a mention except one major omission ... apparently we are not playing or doing anything special or on the cusp of breaking practically every PL record or anything else today.

Oh well ... let’s see what the morrow brings

What is worse is half way down the article there is a picture of Sulaiman al-Fahim the gobby one on a bank note, the Guardian say Sheikh Mansour's face featured on a fake bank note.

Simple stuff really, made worse by actually mentioning the gobby one later in the article as well.

No problem with the Fergie reports but it would have been nice if the BBC at least mentioned the fact that the a team from Manchester is about to achieve the greatest set of stats ( points goals etc ) in the history of English football , but not a mention. Quelle surprise !!

Just said the same thing to the missus, the bitterness in the media is conspicuous.

Loved the press coverage in the main this year. We have been lauded as the best Premiership side ever, appeared frequently as the main game on MOTD. Times did a special report only 2 weeks ago on how we won the league. Enjoy it guy its our time now and the media coverage, in the main, has reflected this.

It's a hard one for non-agendiaists who would usually fall behind its all over/more important games etc but with records about to tumble left right and centre there can be little excuse for ignoring us.

The RDAHMeedya have never needed excuses to ignore, downgrade or rubbish what has been going on this season in the PL where MCFC are concerned. It is now ingrained and part of every menu served by the bitter, bile-choking hacks to the bitter, bile-choking 'fans'! Every time we have taken the game to a new level the general premise has always been how poor the opposition had been, or how much the player cost. It's been ratcheted up as the season has progressed.
