It's so bad that City fans now consider anything written about the club that doesn't overtly slag us off as positive..

A positive article that talks about a conflict of interest, city players getting preferential treatment (even though there is absolutely no evidence to back this up) and questions the negative impact this might have on the fans of Girona

'There are obvious ethical concerns about that scenario, and however untrue they might be, City will always be forced to endure suspicions that their deal with Girona is a dubious case of nepotism as the manager of one club helps his brother run another.

It's also easy to imagine how alarm bells would ring if, for example, Girona follow in the footsteps of another small-town team, Villarreal, and end up qualifying for the Champions League, where they could be drawn to play against their owners.

And although they are happy enough for now, Girona fans might not be quite so comfortable if suspicions ever arise that City's loanees are being given preferential treatment, or if key decisions about tactics and the recruitment of players and coaches are being taken in Manchester rather than Girona'.

And you seriously think this is a positive article!?
Some folk are easily fooled.

Going through the sports pages you would have thought that we didn't play yesterday let alone top of the league. I wonder if we are on top at the end of the season will they just ignore it and give the title to second place ? : )

A bit like 2014 you mean when Liverpool won it?

Yeah its what I expect we have to beat Chelsea by more than 3 goals next week or stuff the rags when we play them to get a bit of recognition! But if there is any controversy and we win comfortably it will be the controversy that will get the headlines. Bottom line the media a made up of football supporters who support other teams and are jealous as fcuk so write utter tripe lies and utter bile.

TalkSPORT just said on their news report "it's exactly the same at the top on the prem as city, united and Chelsea all won". Errr no it's not you knobs. There are new clear leaders. Haha they're just pathetic

It not quite as simple as that, it's more do to with clicks and revenue

The DT sports section front page has some payback for TheFatScouseGit. I really thought that having scored five or more goals in three successive games - not achieved by anyone since 1958-9 season - we might have got on the front cover. But no. I also thought that having the best score of the day we would have the largest spread on the first inside page. But no - that's awarded to CFC for their one nil away win at Stoke. We are shoved over to the right hand edge where I learn that James Ducker the silly, er, person, seems to be hallucinating and has imagined himself in the City changing room at half time where he witnessed the 'tongue-lashing' the City pros got from Pep! I think Ducker should stick to his day job of impersonating Enid Blyton.

Radio 2 yesterday, in the D. O'Leary slot at 8am had a sports section where the presenter aired some views on the start of the Women's Super League. There were six or seven minutes devoted to this item and just guess how many times the triple trophy winners from last season were mentioned? Yeah, good guess - NONE! It's risible! But it's the BBC. It's what they do!
