Their game was on in the bar along with PSG Celtic. Rags were poor, although had some chances. Pogba would have been pretty average for a £5M player, but considering he cost £89M+, he was f**king dreadful. There really are some deluded journo's out there if they think any of the Rag's deserved any more than a 5.

I think it should be noted that by United standards the mentioned players did play well. Simply shows how poor they have been previously.

From a City point of view the same paper has a different agenda and unless we score 5 goals and have more than 75% possession we have been disappointing. Again it is what each team has previously achieved so we have high standards whereas United have...... well you know the rest.

From the other ridiculous article, this one by Samuel Lockhurst.

'Jose Mourinho could only stand and applaud. The game was goalless and not 20 minutes old but the presence of Paul Pogba is a reassuring sight for Manchester United and their manager marvelled at Pogba's effervescence as he deceived one of Basel's defenders right in front of him. Come Pogba's withdrawal in the 65th minute, some Basel supporters also put their hands together for the £89million midfielder.

I mean WTF? People believe this shit?
Didn't pogba get motm against that other European giant Newcastle?
He's pulling up trees is this lad.

The Telgraph's article from yesterday and its title is a clear example of savagely partisan piece of journalism. To take a a few words from an interview and use them to utterly change the context is disgraceful; and from so called serious broadsheet!

From the BBC website
Birmingham top arrest list as Leeds and Manchester City again near top of data
Yup, but when you read the data West Ham are top for the Prem and our figures have drastically reduced which should be the headline if at all. We are nowhere for banning orders. So they are reporting anything that puts us in any kind of bad light and again its the BBC who shouldn't be looking for commercial clicks, its simply the twats at Salford rag central.

We are fourth and get the headlines, the Raggies are sixth and 5th for most banning orders, (we are not even in the top ten) but dont get a mention. I suppose that is what happens when the head of your department has just moved overe from the swamp.

this is nothing but a stick to beat us with, how they gather the information is the cause as city own more of the land around the club than other clubs and are responsible for it, city also pay the police nearly 1 million pounds, more than just about every other club, so they take this very seriously but this also generates figures after all it is difficult to get arrested if there is no police present

I don't think anyone will believe me but I'll post it anyway. On the united page of the Evening News website, the first 2 headlines are:

"Marcos Rojo brilliant and Ander Herrera back to his best"
and
"Jose Mourinho's Manchester United leaders impress in defeat"

I knew you wouldn't
During the commentary last night it was mentioned that "...if their defeat in the Super Cup..." is omitted they are on a run of "...eight games in Europe without defeat..." Looks away with puzzled expression.

Well if you ever wanted proof that they brainwash the deluded majority of their armchair brigade then there it is. Because according to people who watched the game herrera was a passenger throughout the game, lukaku and zlatan offerred bugger all, the defence was a shambles once Basel got on top of the game and bi-passed the united players with constant ease.

Let them continue to big them up because it will be a greater fall
Basel beat their pressing with ease, in the second half atleast.

Didn't watch the game but flicked on BT at half time for all the night's scores and some muppet said that it's all one way traffic and United should have been five up. Looked at the stats and they had had only three shots on target so not sure how they could have scored five unless of course shots off target now count as goals that should have been scored. If that is the case we beat Feynoord by 8 - 4...

For future reference, hitting the post or crossbar is not a shot on target, oddly :)

You've forgotten the media wankfest over their 6 month unbeaten run last season when they shot up from 6th to, er, 6th.
Good point!
Oh how the bastards must be hurting at our current form. Tbh I prefer it like this rather than being the media darlings. Their collective pain and persistent denial is a joy to behold!

Well he is? I never understand people kicking off about this. He didn’t play for anyone else in this country and it should be reported as that by a newspaper in this country.
Compare and contrast.

He was playing for Milan when he committed the crime in Milan and he has been found guilty by a Milan court.

What part of any of that do we have?

Read my post.

I did. Why should it be reported in such a way?

Your ex wife goes on to murder someone is it ok for the press to constantly link you to the woman and her crime or do you say fuck off, what relevance does her past have with me?

To be fair, on twatter, 'Robinho' isn't "trending" in the UK but 'Former Manchester City' actually is.
