Toned down version of an article that appeared last week on a website nobody had ever heard of before but somehow got massive publicity.

Funny, not a peep about this issue for years (despite winning the league twice) and then all of a sudden it’s a hot media topic. And all within a fortnight of wiping the floor with the rags on their own turf and in front of a huge TV audience, in the process of opening up an 11 point lead over them in the season they were supposed to win the league. Go figure.
13 Chris. 13.

Thanks for posting. It's excellent to highlight these types of things. He's a hypocrite and here it is writ large.

we have won the title twice and 3 cups with teams and styles not as good as this so i think its safe to say we might win something this season

And how can you prove anything in dec except of course the endless records we have broken

To balance out all of the negativity and hype (two sides of the came coin) I wrote this, on why every day is Christmas Day for Blues right now.

Great stuff mate. Good to know that we were all of similar mind back then. I missed both York and Wrexham, but went to the two home games that bookended them - Bristol Rovers and Stoke - and the former constituted my own personal nadir. As yours unfolded at the Racecourse, mine took shape in a 0-0 draw against a Bristol Rovers side containing half a dozen teenagers, who almost snatched victory at the death courtesy of a young Jason Roberts. City were abysmal. One shot of note in 90 minutes, and that a super optimistic 30 yard waft from Gareth Taylor that landed in Row V of the North Stand. Ah the dark days of yore.......

BBC Sport have given us 9/10 in their half term report - the same as Burnley.

How can we possibly not be 10/10?
The author also says he's certain the rags will win a trophy this season. They're 13 points behind in the league, out of the league cup, miles behind the true CL contenders and nobody has played in the FA cup yet, but in a best case scenario they're up against 4 teams of equal ability and 1 superior team in that, if I was him I wouldn't be putting my house on that prediction.

I suggest you read the article. He makes it clear he’s not a Jew from a religious point of view. He’s not Jewish culturally either. He’s simply saying that he has taken on some Jewish identity because people assume he should have certain views because of his surname, just like you did.

His mother was not Jewish and he wasn’t brought up as a Jew so he’s not Jewish.

Well I have read the article and it is a typical Guardian mix of big words to pretend you are clever shite. He says he is a Jew, he writes disgusting shite about Muslims and he is a self confessed Rag. That is enough for me to decide that he is not writing honestly and without prejudice.

We get a hard time in the media, we always have. We've not won anything yet so we can't be compared to other title winning teams. When we do smash a whole host of record, they'll probably tow the line of the competition being crap, despite the league (due to extra cash) being the strongest it's ever been. 9/10 WTF.

It's not 9/10, it's 55/57.

The nomarks who write about human rights and City are worthy of contempt. The issues of foreign workers' rights, homosexual persecution and other matters in these countries is indeed to be deplored but they should not be mixed up with the rather trivial topic of an English football club. Building resentment against City isn't going to help Indian labourers or jailed queers. It just directs attention away from them. So the authors of these shallow pieces are part of the problem not part of the solution. But they're probably not intelligent enough to get it. Or else not brave enough to do the right thing.

Current articles - Not the best team ever unless we win 3 titles in a row with a CL title, no trophies yet blah, blah, blah. Lets hope we do win three on the trot (CL that is).
I agree with them, we have to win silverware. However, it's not us saying we're the best team ever, is the fucking media! We, as Blues, are just enjoying the best football we've ever seen.

I like that rather than praising us, the narrative is being changed to "they aren't the best of all time". Sad fuckers
Pep has never once said he would make this Mcfc team the best ever. By his own admission he came to premier league to learn. The media don't want to just stay in the moment and discuss how far Pep and this group are ahead of the present rivals. Let the peasants discuss smoke screens....

For the sky blue family it is one WE have earned the right to discuss surrounded by fellow blues cradling a beer ,around a warm fire or on those long train and coach journeys. Meredith,Bell or KDB. The great side of 69 or Liverpool etc of 80's etc, etc. Barca?

For now WE will stay in the moment if YOU are to scared . CTID.
