The BBC's comments section is a tragic place.

The bitterness and stupidity of the posts is quite incredible.

"oil money" "cheque book manger" "when their owners get bored" "Arabs toy" "human rights issues" "could the cheque book manager do it at a lower league club"

I am not sure why I bother to read through it.

I find it hard to care what the papers or BBC say about us any more. We’re doing our talking on the pitch, and any petty digs in the press about attendances or whatever mean nothing. The serious journalists or presenters are slowly coming round to how special a team this is. The ones still sniping are increasingly looking ridiculous or bitter. We shouldn’t care what they say. Enjoy the moment, and don’t get wound up by the media. Fuck them.

Exactly. Digs are just digs. Deep down they know how it really is, just as we do. That's what hurts them so much.

Having been a media hater and as someone who got wound up about the shit they write about us I am now at the don't care stage. What does annoy me is headlines like this from the M.E.N. online .........

Sam Allardyce names to teams who have the edge on Man City's champions-elect
