I do not defend the media at all, but again I can see with your bias why you might think that.
You’re absolutely right, I have a bias against the media, I worked in it for a while, I saw what it did.
I do not forget what I learnt there and I see it now in practice, despicable tools of propaganda and mass manipulation.

I was going to say, show me a newspaper without vested interest or an agenda and I’ll defend them for publish; but that’s not what the news is for: it’s for printing sheer fact.

the day you disagree or agree with a news story is when the media is dead.

Samuel Speaks Out

A sycophantic media that has fawned over Pool and ignored / minimised their many failings on and off the pitch over decades has at long last recognised what every football fan knows about them.

Thankfully the leaching of the game by the American owners has been exposed. An unholy alliance of Americans and their paid cohorts planted in England and within UEFA, have plotted and connived against those investing in the game, their club and their community.

The Americans business plans are about extracting the most from our game and restricting competition for their benefit.

Now watch Neil Ashton`s continuing PR spin for all things Utd, and similar from their strangest of bedfellows at the other end of the M62.

Meanwhile Samuel speak outs and remains a voice of reason.

A pleasure to read that.

No you misunderstand, I do ot think you are biased against the media.

The rest of your post I pretty much agree with, the only difference I suppose is where people see some unique bias against City I see the vast majority of the media prepared to behave disgracefully to everyone and anyone to get a few clicks whether it be, in a football context Sterling/Mason Greenwood/Ross Barclay even going back to David Beckham, before it became fashionable to like him, and honourable men like Graham Taylor and Bobby Robson etc.
Still believe there are a some good people within it though or have no evidence to suggest otherwise.
