Some typically inaccurate reporting again from the BBC, this time Michael Emons:

City have never won the European Cup or Champions League, with their best run coming five years ago when they lost in the semi-finals to eventual winners Real Madrid.

Incompetent or just wishful thinking?
This is true though, unless I’m missing something?

This is correct isn't it? If they said 'a' European cup it wouldn't be but so far as I can see it's accurate.

Will it ever end. Hopefully the club and Vicky Kloss have seen this.

Surely it would be "a European trophy" or the European Cup or the Champions League.

Did Madrid deffo win it after knocking us out in the Semi that year?

Silly Sally for once giving a fair report on City's match but how does United Women playing an occasional match at the swamp on Saturday become national news, featuring Old Trafford with Uniteds name lit up on a big bold neon sign. This on a programme that does not find time to mention a City win or Redshirts loss.
Meanwhile the lead item on the Northern News leads with the release of the report into abuse in football. No details given other mention of Barry Bennell. I get the feeling that City who have really done the decent thing are going to get some more blame for this perve's crimes.
Always something to distract attention from a great City performance.

The European Cup was replaced by the Champions League
City won the European Cup Winners Cup which was absorbed into the UEFA Cup

Literally painting the Etisalat charge as the whole case. I’ve read the whole document and this moron, whose job depends on his knowledge of football, hasn’t. Comical.
Load of bollocks that, not reading it but basically saying a Club cant invest to put it on a level playing field with the top sides and then basically match the spending patterns to remain at the top.

Our recent spending has been more sensible and productive than that of our rivals!

Funny how they never mentioned the rag scum have spent about half a billion in the last ten years to win about two cups.
