It's a double edged sword though for the clickbait clubs. Failure to win things brings massive ridicule from the media. To the point where the owners are forced into things like signing Sanchez or getting rid of Lingard.

United are under so much media pressure and spotlight that the players can't perform for that club... Di Maria, Lukaku, lingard etc all shit according to the clickbait media, the fans demand action (based on what the media say), the board have to keep the fans happy.
Meanwhile those players actually turned out to be quite good when they moved to another club. (imagine lingard doing for United what he's doing at West ham)

Instead utd keep players like rashford (lazy), mctominay (not enough talent but reminds utd fans of the SAF era), Martial (lazy and cba), Phil Jones (shit)

That's my current theory! I might be wrong but long may it continue, like it did for lfc over the last 30 years.

It's like 1984 where the Ministry of Truth is the Ministry of Lies and the Ministry of Peace is the Ministry of War!

Is it all about chasing clicks or keeping sweet with the football gravy train?

Either way, pigs in the trough, though that's probably doing a disservice to pigs!

I thinks pigs have more moral fibre and integrity,

I disagree. The Daily Mail hates us because of of our owner's ethnicity and the Guardian hates us because we are rich and successful. No one likes us but as Milwall fans say..we don't care.

What rubbish the right wing media tell people to know their place look at how they deal with Racism poverty immigration the royal family politics corruption etc The guardian left wing so completely different

Partly because we broke up the elite.
Partly to gain clicks from the overseas fans.
Partly because a sheikh with money doesn’t sit right in the western world.
Partly because British papers are influenced by USA media and ongoing.

Fact is nobody wants to say it out loud.
Well they can all Fuck Off because there is no finer site than seeing those lovely Sky Blue Shirts, White Shorts running out onto the lush green pitch at the Etihad on a Sunny day.

It's a true masterpiece that could be painted by Turner or Constable.

No sign of that fucking awful signal red that spells danger in every other walk of life.

I disagree with most, if not all of the above analysis. The reason that much of the media are anti-City is that 25-30 years back their opinions were formed watching Manchester United. That is apart from the Liverpool fan-boys whose opinions were formed much earlier.

I tell you in 15 years time, the media will be stuffed with City ‘fans’ harking back to the great days of Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure, and Phil Foden.
