I was thinking the same as l passed a street named Neville Cardus Walk off Platt Lane a week or two ago.
He set the standard that no one else got near least of all the current crop.
Agree, a working mans, self educated genius made good. And he reported on sportsmen with proper ridiculous names like Victor Trumper. We need more proper names.

what on earth was that on football focus. 1 minute mention of a major english cup final???
We had ESL (fair enough), Womans league (no big news to report whatsoever) and Phil Brown ffs.
Had to fit in a lengthy interview with Solskjaer and then a five minute hagiography and PR advert for the FC High Horse cowards and splitters. Plus another lengthy interview with The Anfield Wrap ‘long grass’ dickhead. So no time to mention City in a cup final or edging closer to the title this week

Some people wonder why I record FF and watch later! It's simply because I can just fast forward anything to do with rags and dippers, plus Harry Redknapp and Big Sam....in fact mostly anything not to do with City! Some weeks I just keep fast forwarding until I get to the end!!! :-) :-) (that's not me smiling, that's me laughing my backside off at FF.)
I wouldn't mind but I like Dan Walker. I know most of you don't but I do. However I am debating whether to even record it next season once he goes!)

It's an utterly shite show. Phil fucking Brown at Southend?? Does anybody outside of Southend care,??

They had more on Emma Hayes and women's football than as you say one of only two domestic cup finals in England.

It is like some weird politically correct show than a football show these days. Bring back Saint and Greavsie!!
You have to remember that by constantly fielding strong teams, winning at Wembley and disrespecting those competitions by scoring more than one goal we have destroyed the media's love of watching the red tops parading those trophies. You can be certain that if a City player scores the greatest winning goal ever in a final that Spurs fans will not be reminded constantly about it for the rest of their lives.

Yes I was at that game live and I've watched it a few times since and it's nothing special. The most over hyped goal ever.
