In the build up to today’s game and no doubt in the build up to the final ,a lot has been made of Chelsea
‘Semi final result against us , at no time has any pundit acknowledged the FACT that City only had 3 players in that semi that started that match ,in the team that beat PSG,and one ,KDB,only played around half a match !

they talk of Chelsea smashing us !!

the match stats clearly do not reflect that ,although on balance we didn’t do enough in that match to deserve to go through

in the final ,Chelsea will play the same way ,we clearly will not ,

that’s clear media bias and shit punditry!

chelsea have one way of playing under Tuchel ,sit back , keep possession ,wait for turn overs and play on the break

we had no pace at the back in the semi ,and it showed

in the final it will be entirely different and we will smash them !

To be fair to francis, the gormless Shearer was on 5live telling us all that Chelsea have our measure and he expects them to win tonight and in the CL final.
I think he was still a bit overheated after last night‘s barcode performance.

I think you lot in here need to find another hobby. We are starting to experience life on the other side of the tracks. Every time I turn my radio on they are talking about City. The hype around the club has never been greater and it’s going to reach a crescendo over the next 3 weeks. Get ready for an onslaught of interviews The Gallaghers, Johnny Marr, Paul Dickov, Vinnie, Sean Goater, Joe Royle...everyone who’s been part of this club’s recent history.

If we win this thing there will be a million stories eulogising “the project” and it’s sporting excellence, and contrasting it with division 2 and Maine Road.

Us potentially winning our first champions league is “the” story here and the media will reflect that.

We should take over this thread. Media doesn't just need to be negative. But yes it's depressing that some fans are always/mostly sad

I like it. I might start using. He is without doubt the most gormless pundit in football. I sometimes think he doesn’t even watch matches, he just conjures up some trite opinion based on 30 seconds worth of highlights, in the same way the gobby dick from the pub does.

I think Dion Dublin sits atop Mount Gormless comfortably; Shearer still has several hundred metres to climb.
