I wish the government would close these tax loopholes so everyone pays the tax on the money they earn. I have no problem these guys earning huge salaries - supply and demand etc, but really gets my goat when they then decide to avoid taxes too. How much money is enough? Don't want to pay taxes? bugger off, or don't earn the money. Jimmy Carr got called out by David Cameron on his tax avoidance. Hope saint Rashford of the poor gets called out for his tax avoidance too!

Wonder if Silly Sally would ever ask him if he sees the irony and hypocrisy in asking the government to fund free meals whilst avoiding taxes?
MP's in power are not clever enough to actually put the tax laws together. These are done by big firms like KPMG. These firms then sell there services to individuals and companies on the best way to avoid paying tax legally. the ones that write the tax laws know the best ways to circumnavigate them laws for the benefit of there rich clients.

If you shut your eye and listen, Ferdinand doesn`t seem such a ****.
In both the interviews he did with pep & the dias one and now this foden one he's been alright, although it must've been through gritted teeth as he can't hide his hatred for us in his punditry. I'll go with him being a two faced prick as opposed to actually being a fair pundit

I've no idea what the basis is for your absurdly elevated hatred of this quite-good footballer and generous young man (I hope it's just because he plays for United), but it's really gone too far when you seem to be literally angry with him for advocating that children in one of the richest countries in the world shouldn't be going to bed hungry.

I have to wonder about the reasons for anyone slagging off Rashford but praising Mata, who has made himself the poster boy for a charity someone else came up with in common goal.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, Mata's public profile and promotion in the media has undoubtedly helped raise a lot of money for good causes and helped rope in a lot of his current and former team mates, but it's certainly not been discreet.

Discreet would be the hundreds of footballers who don't sign up with public announcements and interviews to common goal and give 1% away, but instead go about their charitable business without any of use hearing about it.

No footballer raising large amounts of money for good causes should be slagged off or criticised.

I do think there is a broader discussion, where footballers use a major public relations company to plan and promote themselves, while using social injustice as the platform to do that.
