But it highlights why it is pointless complaining to them and I don't know why blues waste their time. The BBC is always right, it is a great British institution. I'm not sure they ever accepted any blame for Saville, TOTP, Stuart Hall, the Cliff Richard House raid ( 2 million in compensation !) And no doubt many more

At times past BBC has been a valuable connection with home so l have a soft spot or them. But the likes of Stone and Roan have altered that and when you see the blatant untruths and bias coming frequently coming from the Sports Department it makes you wonder about the rest.
I tried to get to the truth about Magliar's conviction status and they either played thick or were thick. They said they had gone as far as they could and were closing the complaint. They said that the Sports team had confirmed he was innocent until the next trial but they said earlier that MUFC had given that information.
It's just like saying that Savile was innocent and that had got that from Saviles agent and therefore was true. Bollocks.

I submitted a freedom of information request to the BBC because the Dan Roan interview of Maguire was a sympathy piece and I believe instigated and funded by the rags
Here is my request along with their reply

Thank you for your request to the BBC of 28th August 2020 seeking the following information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (‘the Act’):

With regard to an interview with Harry Maguire, conducted by Dan Roan which was broadcast on the BBC One 10 o'clock news on Thursday 27th August 2020
I request two pieces of information
1/ In which country was the interview conducted?
2/ Who paid for Dan Roan's travel, accommodation and sustenance?
I look forward to you furnishing me with the information requested

The information you have requested is excluded from the Act because if held it would be held for the purposes of ‘journalism, art or literature.’ The BBC is therefore not obliged to provide this information to you and will not be doing so on this occasion. Part VI of Schedule 1 to FOIA provides that information held by the BBC and the other public service broadcasters is only covered by the Act if it is held for ‘purposes other than those of journalism, art or literature”. The BBC is not required to supply information held for the purposes of creating the BBC’s output or information that supports and is closely associated with these creative activities1

That reply from the BBC is just bullshit flannel. Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights MY ARSE!!!

I guarantee that 'interview' was a PR job, set up and funded by the Rag's through Ashton. Roan as a BBC employee is 100% complicit in allowing the Rag's to use a publicly funded National broadcaster as an extension of their own PR dept.
