Mind you, Shaw 6 too.
Walker - stopped multiple potential attacks by putting the burners on, including when the oil tanker maguire was doing diddly but pointing. Passed superbly.
Stones - not a foot wrong, also excellent defensive header that was glossed over by commentstorsand we had a lingering shot of maguire in the aftermath , implying he’d headed it away instead.
Foden - late introduction, was enthusiastic and multiple times almost apoplectic when nobody passed when he’d split defenders/made runs.
Henderson - late introduction and was nothing special
trippier - see henderson
Sterling - awesomely good, looked like he was dead on his feet in last ET, then proceeded to put the burners on a few times more.
Maguire - solid and a threat on set pieces, but still slow at the back and still pointing…
Edit: Should have had a least one penalty against him for holding in the box (deja vu from the PL...I only saw it enough on one set piece replay to comment), especially as a free-kick was given outside the box for the same issue moments before/after.
Sako - was a threat for awhile, but started tailing off badly
Phillips - solid but nothing special - though I may have missed it.
Kane - better than previous matches, even jogged back for some defenders work.
Pickford - good, I had no issue with not saving goal, he had a fingertip to it, which would have been a worldly if another couple of inches. Couple of brain farts on passing direct to Denmark near the box.
grealish - hmm, on then off
shaw - been very good, again. Hopefully ole manages to strangle his enthusiasm/ability again this year.
