No defending mendy. We all have to live with this shit and that knob has allowed the wankers to to attack us from all areas. Wtf pep was thinking about too baffles me
I'm not defending Mendy either and I'm not sure what more the club can do other than give the players clear advice on how the rules affect them and on the consequences of (a) breaking them and (b) being found to have broken them. But there, does appear to be a sense that, as usual, City are being reported differently to others: the Kyle Walker story that has now mysteriously disappeared, the almost universal negative reaction to the postponement of the Everton match and the way The Sun reported Mendy's misdemeanour was full of suggestion and designed to provoke outrage. It's only my opinion but it looks, to me, like Pep was defending 'the club' as a whole not just Mendy and well done to him for doing that.

Again, further examples of what i've been banging on about - how Liverpool and United especially use influencers in the media.
Their indiscretions are swept under the carpet, but ours are highlighted - it's deflection, smoke and mirrors – and it works perfectly for the most part... most people don't, can't or refuse to see it, but it's there for all to see.
We had that with the media over Sterling's gun tattoo with the S*n leading the outcry, yet a year before published a positive story about a Liverpool player with a gun tattoo....

Rather laughably John 'unfunny liverpudlian comedian' Bishop has been cast as the companion in the next series of Doctor Who. Death by a thousand cuts but that's another story...

Does anyone remember Jason Manford hosting yet another title party outside the Town Hall a few years ago? He rang up Bishop and left a message on his answer phone- was the massed ranks all singing the Stevie Meee song. Pure poetry!
