Leicester don't count due to their lack of history and prestige

A decade or so ago I used to occasionally watch my nephew in action for his local junior side. One of his enthusiastic but less skilful teammates was always at the centre of goal celebrations whenever the team managed to score. After one particularly elaborate celebration, I said to my nephew's chum (recalling the hours I spent as a kid perfecting juggling skills with the ball, my fitness and stamina to be able to play etc etc..) 'If you lot spent half the time you do on goal celebrations actually on practising your football skills, you'd be twice the players you are..'

It's like with social media/celebrity culture etc.. seems so many of them want the 'sizzle' but don't want to put the work in.. (I am available btw for kids' parties, bar-mitzvahs and so on.. search under 'Captain Happy'..)
Beckham was told by his handlers - If you score, run off on your own to celebrate for maximum personnel exposure, if one of your team mates score, get into the shot as the main focus of the photo opportunity (he used climb onto their shoulders).

Pogbert does that to the same effect, his eyes always glances up to the jumbatron to make sure he's in the picture, he even does it when he's talking to a teammate or geeing them up with fist pumps. [glance up]

Lets hope it is the most boring, tedious unwatchable goalless games of the season and lets see what the fawning paps can get out of that
There has to be a good chance - either a "the most boring, tedious unwatchable goalless games of the season" or "a goalless comedy of errors". All due to the absence of both sets of the most knowledgeable, passionate fans in the world in one of the true cathedrals of world football. Nearly all the ingredients are there for the same kind of unrivalled fare that these two serve up season after season.

"While the world and his wife get giddy over Liverpool and Manchester United playing out a "title decider", Manchester City and Pep Guardiola are quietly going about their business. They are out of their early-season struggles and are 4/6 with Sky Bet to win their third title in four seasons."

:)

Exactly Sky etc can bullshit all they like about the red shirts but when it comes to money they know the real score.
