From what I see in the matchday threads, half of the wankers at sky/bt/bbc etc have accounts here to post their bile.

I used to love listening to 606, watching sky sports news, pre and post match chit chat and reading the odd newspaper.
But now I don't do any of them and it pisses me off slightly as all of the above was part of my football fix, all part of the ritual.

Then we began to win things and it changed. Now it's just Ragstv And Liverpool TV everytime you put the TV on, it makes me sick how all these gobshites in the media such their dicks.

And what's happened to the Cavani tweet? Gone, disappeared into thin air, papered over. I still maintain he wasn't played in the derby only because of the tweet, bullshit he's injured.

Fuck them all.

Can’t remember the last time I had it on, I don’t look at any main stream media, I cancelled all sky sports and just watch the live games on whatever stream I need, I never listen to talkshite etc etc.

Much better for it, but a sad state of affairs that what used to be part of life is no longer.

Don't have Sly Sports News on anymore. Stopped watching Sunday Supplement beforre it was rightly pulled. Talkshite is also off. Gave up on BBC United Football, TV, Radio, and online years ago. Binned the MUEN paper and MUEN online years ago. (used to always get the Pink Final) Don't read the tabloids. My only City news source is BM and News Now, Man City, where I can pick what I want to read or not.

My only City news source is BM and News Now, Man City, where I can pick what I want to read or not.

I would echo all of that. I’ve been listening to Mark Chapman, Micah Richards and the gang on 5live Monday Night Club for the last hour though (including a great Raz interview), but that is the only non-City specific football media I listen to. Even with the Totally Football podcast, I just scroll to the City bit, but yeah, everything you’ve listed I'm exactly the same.

It’s part of the same feeling I’ve seen others express on here - still love City, but don’t really love (professional) football any more.

All I’m saying is that it’s self fulfilling.. you know the Daily Mail and BBC are either going to play down our achievements or write something negative about the club so when you read it it’s going to wind you up.. don’t read it and your blood pressure will go down. Had to laugh at the BBC news on Radio 1 earlier whilst I was out driving.....

If ever there was confirmation of the agenda/bias then that was it. Laughable.

It's annoying isn't it.

I gave up on the broadcasting media and the written press years ago. They'll never accept us.

I'm more philosophical about it these days. Why should they accept us? The broadcasting media and British news outlets know which side their bread is buttered and it doesn't include us.

The rags and dippers get all the plaudits and cover ups when needed. After all it's far more important that the media placate their fan base.

The media are more than happy to collude in the illusion that the rags are still relevant and Liverpool are here to stay.
