Beyond this as shown by the latest figures.

More a matter of whether football will be allowed to continue. If so on what basis?

Am I imagining that the mass testing in Liverpool which was done with a much heralded trumpeting has proved to be wholely inadequate and given a misleading sense of safety there. In other utterly unrelated news the number of Covid cases is through the roof on Merseyside. And yet we're irresponsible and borderline cheats for telling them we've plenty of staff infected????
They wouldn't have a fucking clue over there anyway. It always sounds like they're clearing their throats......

Sheffield United have a number of players testing positive for covid, with only 3 hours until kick off at Burnley.

Postponement surely?

Burnley will be fucked off if it is, 3 points at stake more important?

No, match is going ahead

I'd hope it was postponed or we'll be accused of getting preferential treatment

There’s a caveat in the rule that says if an alternative date can’t be agreed then the club has to forfeit. That’s the card the desperate rags will try to play
Where does it say that ? there will be ample time to rearrange , cant see us forfeiting the game , thats if the season isnt either postponed or cancelled of course

Rule 5.3.2

"Where the Management Committee determine that the fixture cannot be rearranged the Management Committee shall have the power to declare that the fixture shall be abandoned. Where the Management Committee declare that the fixture shall be abandoned, the Club shall forfeit the fixture, pay the opposing Club’s expenses in accordance with Rule 5.8 and the opposing Club shall receive a bye into the next round of the Competition"

Nobody inside of City, fans included thinks last nights postponement was in any way good for us.

Setting everything Covid related aside (which obviously is more important), from a football point of view another game to fit in is the last thing we need.

Already a game behind, as are the Rags, League Cup Semi, as are the Rags Champions League Knock out, as are the Ra, oh wait a minute, you get the picture.

A postponement is far from beneficial to City.

Jesus christ imagine if city actually did something wrong. How many times are we going to be tried and found guilty by the classless media
We did do something wrong mate, we went from being whipping boys of the sky 4 to regular whipping the sky 4, and 4 times in 9 years taking the title from the fuckers. We are too much of a challenge to the rag and dipper media darlings

We did do something wrong. Got bought by a gentleman from the UAE. Had we been bought by a white, Christian loving Yankee Doodle dandy we wouldn't get half the shit we receive.
In one.. complete summation of how the media treats City in less than 35 words.. my hat, were I wearing one, would be doffed in your general direction..

i said it during the first lock down and i say it again, football should never of started, too many fucking halfwits thought it would give us entertainment, well fuck the entertainment, football should never of started up last season and should never have started this season, whose really enjoying this souless sham , i watch thecity games , but after that my mind easliy wonders if there is a game on,

the pandemic is getting worse, we need a full lockdown,

we are on the cusp of catastrophe

I don’t see why this situation means that football should be stopped for good. It could be ages before they could resume and some players such as de bruyne lose their peak years before they can restart. Furthermore the lower league sides which are struggling more would most probably fold. By continuing there has to be an acceptance that at some point there could be delays/issues such as that we now have.

they should have got rid of the domestic cups this year possibly even Europe to allow some flexibility/minimise travel.

what I cannot understand is how anyone could not realise that it is not just a matter of 14 players being available but knowing you have 14 players who are negative. The idea that you can play a reserve or under 18 side that will be negative is fanciful. That’s why it is clearly bias as it is completely irrational.
