Just had to turn bt sports off. Even when we are not playing that sly **** Ian darke is at it. Talking about Otamendi and that he was part of the deal for Dias, but he couldn’t help adding “mind you there was a whole load of cash in addition”, at which the summariser added that we can spend what we want on players. Utter CUNTS. We should have spent an extra 20 or 30 million and got Harry the perjurer, whose price tag doesn’t of course get mentioned
Be more like Pep. Embrace the money

Didn’t Pulis say something to the effect of, if he had City’s squad of players, he would just sit in the dugout smoking a large cigar?
This illustrates why pulis is so outrageously successful.
He thinks that you can put together a squad of top class players, but they would require no more managing or directing than sitting in the dugout smoking a cigar.
Like buying all the parts to build a Ferrari but not having someone who knows how to make a Ferrari out of them.

It seems we never learn, always shooting outselves in the foot one way or another. Lazy journos are always waiting like vultures for a headline like this. It just leads to more resentment than praise.

I wish I'd been that journo, just to say "well that's why you've spent your career in the lower leagues instead of at a top club then isn't it Tony?"

The female presenter on BBC’s Northwest tonight just said “Jayo Canchello”

Ffs, how hard can it be. Your only job as a news presenter is to read the news properly.

Ah but he knew how to play at Stoke on a wet Tuesday evening, he also knew how to dress as well :)

Nedum absolutely killing it on SSN this morning. Articulate, insightful and funny. And even though he's a relative novice as a pundit himself, he’s clearly and generously helping his former teammate and co-guest Tom Carroll, who is on for the first time and obviously nervous
Great to read that. Wonder if it’s available to view on skys version of iplayer - when was he on, 11am-12 noon?

Or we just 'own' it and embrace it, as that takes away its power
Not really, it’s human nature to be jealous and resent people with money. We’ve just given the pundits more ammo to throw at us and justify their comments. Now if he’d have followed that up with “just like all the top teams” it would’ve been less abrasive. It’s so unnecessary and avoidable.

Yeah, but they know that already and still only use the money thing against us. Guess we'll have to wait and see if it changes anything long term

I like those who mis pronounce Mendy as something like Maurnday, putting an affected French accent into an African name pronounced in France as we do. Strangely they do not think Benjamin might be accented.
The BBC had a very good pronunciation unit at one time. Now it's just another area in which the BBC fails.
