SB is a great writer but Banjo is truly showing his colours of late.

Is that possibly because he gets a lot of shit? I posted his comment yesterday and thought it was funny, not a slight against us. As someone who believes the media is almost 100% against us, it wasn't that bad.

Pissing into the wind here I think

At the risk of turning into @oakiecokie, I think Brennan and Bajkowski are both okay. Not perfect but better than most.

Bajikowski has mocked City fans for calling out a media agenda, if he doesn’t believe it then he really is engrained with a conscious bias. He’ll be yet another who never considered the City line that we will be cleared by CAS as we were totally innocent, & the lack of articles on that subject about disgraceful splicing of hacked emails & leaked lies from UEFA confirm it.

I’ve just been reading the supposed shortlist for The Premier League Hall of Fame 23 man shortlist. There are 5 players on it who played for City past their peak and aren’t on the list for what they did at City.
I was shocked when looking at the list there was no Kompany, captained City to 4 PL titles, however Vidic, Adams, Campbell, Terry, Ferdinand are all on it.
Also no Silva, 10 years service, also 4 PL titles.
Finally no Sergio!!!! Scored the most iconic PL goal of all time, most hat tricks, leading foreign scorer and also FOUR PL TITLES.In ahead of him, Les Ferdinand, Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen & Van Persie who combined won 2 PL titles and have all scored less than him in the league.
Le Tissier is in the list who was a fantastic player & was loyal to Southampton but I am wondering what the criteria is?
Maybe with time they will add City players but those 3 should surely be on the shortlist now.

BBC live text on Palace v Leicester sharing the raggy memes. Nothing to see here, totally normal...

i couldn’t even tell you the nearest club to Tonbridge wells so I presume it’s a hotbed for the old sky 4.

my mate a Spurs fan from near there came out with a similar statement once & I said, growing up I knew fans of 2 clubs & if you think I came across, Spurs, Arsenal or Chelsea fans in Manchester you are delusional.

Re Sergio, Silva and Fernandinho etc I think the criteria is that you have to be retired? But agree its an absolute nonsense that Vinny isn’t nominated

Theres a thread on gen footy, you have to be retired before July 2020, Vinnie was just after, Dave & Sergio still going, no Yaya though with 3 prem titles & a goal every 4 games, I’d expect next years to contain Vinnie at least, then a shed load in years to come

I've not seen the list but from what you're saying, besides club affiliation, it sounds like one of the criteria is to be English, a near-guaranteed way to be overrated in England's small-minded football culture

Does anyone else find the level of coverage in other sports, be it in printed media, radio, podcasts, TV, punditry or commentary as bad as English football?

I follow teams in lots of other sports around the world and the commentary, expert opinion and analysis, without any bias, is on a another level when compared with English football coverage.

When I moved to Aus & you realise just how partisan the sports coverage is, you sit laughing as the interviewer at the Olympics would be “Michael Phelps that’s 7 gold medals & 7 world records but what about our Aussie swimmers, aren’t they great?”

You then realise that maybe the rest of the world were not captivated by Daley Thomson or Torville & Dean which then makes it an even bigger shit show when you see uk broadcasters cheering on Johnny Foreigner.
