Yes, the appalling human rights of the middle east.

Not like there are any owners in the premier league who come from a country that locked people up without trial, in orange boiler suits, just across the border.

Fucking hypocrites!
Some of them are still there ffs. Oh the irony. USA abandons Afghanistan to the tender mercies of the Taliban while keeping people imprisoned for being suspected fighters for Afghanistan.
EDIT PS. There are currently 39 prisoners left in the camp, 27 of which have never been charged with any crime. None of the rest have had a fair trial.

It was pep had the rant. Quite an angry rant.

I'd shoot jj the rat, but this is all on Pep. He wanted it out there in case any of our idiots are thinking along the same lines tomorrow night in a game that means little.

I agree with that. I expect that Walker knows exactly his opinion!

In Guardiolaspeak, the 14 players will be the outfielders only, I think.

Anyone who views tiny states like the UAE and Qatar as comparable to nation states like China, Russia, UK, USA has lost the plot. You only have to look at a map to see the straight lines or look in wiki to find out when these states were created to realise that most of them are ex-colonial outposts. A human rights campaigner who focuses on the ex-colony rather than the home of Empire is either dishonest or in the pay of some so called None Governmental organisation like Human Right Watch or Amnesty International. These organisations use-value is to make a case for intervention by militaristic powers. If you want to persuade the public of some foreign expedition to Syria or Libya, you don't wheel out the MI6 or CIA report, you wheel out Human Rights Watch.

IMO the UAE is moving in the right direction. It pushes all its efforts and trying to improve the technical capability of its people hence the missions to mars, the moon and the asteroid belt. Many of the engineers and scientists are women and that is how you get social progress. What does the UK have to offer Arabs? War and sanctions. And yet newspapers like the Guardian focus on politics. The political world follows from centuries of foreign wars and what do these commentators want? More intervention and control. They convinced the British people that Saddam was a problem to be eliminated and we had a horrific war far worse than anything inflicted on Ukraine. That is where these arguments about sportswashing lead. These states are authoritarian but social change has to come from within and not through smart bombs or sanctions.

Talkshite discussing possible points deduction for Everton over FFPR.

Jordan opens with a dig about us.

Getting boring now.
He’s not stopped all morning. He’s at it now calling Chelsea a ‘football club’. He actually said ‘Abramovich has turned Chelsea into a, in inverted commas, a football club’.

You can tell he’s bitter about his failed tenure of Palace as he starts talking really fast. I imagine the mic is covered in his saliva.
