What I'm not quite getting with the Chelsea situation is the status of the loans from Abramovich. Do they suddenly get forgotten about, or does the new owner have to take those on and in effect repay them to our government?

Just be included in the sale because it was an interest free loan so quotes of 3 billion is about right.

Very true with regard to the club but their actual supporters are lovely people when considered in stark comparison to their coach bricking deluded man-slaughtering whinging shameless neighbours.

Terrible accent though. Any form of speech that sends filthy, virus & bacteria contaminated spittle in all directions when saying “chicken” should, of course, be banned.

Goodison in the 80's they were good at throwing bricks and all sorts of shit at the away fans themselves. Penned in behind a Kippax style wall and the away stand the bastards could hardly miss. Blue or Red they are all tw@ts and all believe they're victims.

I was writing from a personal perspective and from personal experience and I didn’t say that they were all saints to the last man. I was comparing them in general terms to their more aggressive neighbours.

Different experiences bring different opinions, I know some blues who hate Villa supporters but some Villa supporters had a whip round to give me enough for a train fare home from a midweek night match after I’d missed the coach home in the 70‘s.
I was a kid at the time and have held them in high regard ever since, other don’t.

We have a few wrong ‘uns in our own ranks too, every club has them but at some clubs twatism holds sway across the piste and they pride themselves on it. Eg. Liverpoo, milwall et al.

Lovely people! Plain you werent at the Goodison quarter final in 1981.
Absolutely I've only been threatned with a knife twice at a football match first time watching England play Italy in Turin at the 1980 European Championships, and the second time this quater final at Goodison, as we were making our way back to our car after the game. Great equaliser by Paul Power with not long to go I seem to remember.

Have to agree. Evertonians are a different breed. Proper loyal Scousers. Like us, proper Mancs. Not like their Norwegian plastic, glory hunting, c*nts. Only Moyes over Lescott tried to divide both sets of fans. Remember Evertonians congratulating City fans on the coaches after City won 1-3 at Goodison Park and stopped Liverpool winning the PL title. Lad at work is an Evertonian, sound as a pound. Liverpool fan at work, typical gobshite, as they say in Liverpool.

Chelsea is until sold owned by Abramovich but, due to sanctions he is not allowed to benefit from the the proceeds of the sale which he had implemented before sanctions. The government have allowed the sale to continue under license but, will ensure that the proceeds will not go to Abramovich. When he announced he was selling he said the money would go to those who had suffered the consequences of the war, the loan he was going to write off

I haven't had many problems with Evertonians over the years.

Most stemmed from the FA Cup QF in 1966. That went to two replays before Everton won 2-0 at Molineux. The first match at Maine Road (0-0) passed without major incident despite a 63,034 full house. The replay at Goodison was also 0-0 with a crowd of 60,349.

There were incidents with City supporters throwing cushions from the upper tier of the stand at the Everton fans below. We were on the upper tier and seeing a group of angry Everton supporters waiting at the bottom of the stairs, we reacted by walking down the stairs chanting Everton, Everton!

The second replay at Wolves attracted a decent crowd of 27,948. The Cup was not really a priority for City that season with promotion being the main objective. City had already had replays with Blackpool in the Third Round and Leicester City in the Fifth Round, so three Cup matches against Everton was not ideal preparation for the run-in.

Everton were due to play United in the SF. Leaving Molineux, we saw a group of Everton fans and wished them well in the match against United. They told me to piss off! I will not do that again.

Everton eliminated United in the SF and then went on to come from 2-0 down to beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-2 in the Final with an unlikely two goals from the 21 year old Mike Trebilcock. He only played 11 League games for Everton and scored three League goals before moving on to Portsmouth, Torquay, Yeovil, and Weymouth.

Does an ex-owner's writing off a loan made before FFP count as owner funding now for FFP?
