All I've heard for the last couple of days is how Liverpool could put pressure on Manchester City by going ahead if they beat Newcastle.

Conversely the reports about City is that we'll be playing catch up on Saturday night.

As it occurred to the biased idiots that it's actually the dippers who are playing catch up?

These journalists/presenter are experts in spin.

But the neutrals aren't wanting Liverpool to win it, well the ones I've spoken to anyway. Why do these cretins think the rest of the footballing world outside Liverpool actually like that club?

Where I work in the centre of Manchester we have 7 dipper fans! Yes I know our recruitment policy is shocking. The year we pipped them by 1 point I had them several of them saying the country wanted them, I knew this was bollocks so carried out a bit of a test and for 3 weeks asked everyone I spoke to if they liked football and if they weren't a City, dipper, Utd or Everton fan who they wanted to win the PL. 62% said City, imagine what the % would be if I included 3 of the 4 clubs - they were speechless but "surprise surprise" couldn't accept the result. Several of them were in denial about the Gordan penalty on Sunday and can only respond with well you've had decisions go your way - I respond with name 5 over the last 3 seasons (generous number and time frame) I real off 5 for them in 60 seconds and walk off while they are still scratching their heads.

They did the same a couple of seasons ago when were neck and neck, the talk was always about the pressure on City and never on Liverpool.
What I don't understand is their stance on City winning again would be bad for football but Liverpool winning everything this season would be great for football.

I'm not convinced they do actually believe that.

I get the impression they hope/assume fans of other clubs hate us as much as they hate us.

So it's a bit like my stance in the 90s "anyone but the rags". Now their stance is anyone but City.

Does anyone get any work done at your place? ;-)

Talksport just had Tony Evans on. After about 30 seconds the presenter suggested that after all the hype, they could end up with just the league cup.

It was like he’d been hit by a bus. Begrudgingly then said that yes that could be the case what with the small margins.

It’ll be around from now onwards that the quad talk, as we know, will start to take its toll.

1-1 today for the new scum.

As someone from Greater Manchester I find it bizarre that anyone outside of Dipperville would support anything to do with those weirdos. Dipper fans are the most unwelcome, ill behaved “supporters” in this Country. Every year brings another example, from UEFA’s condemnation of their “fans” to spitting on our staff and supporters this season and everything that’s well documented inbetween.

Ler’s see what the latest match brings, Var cheating, ref ignoring the rules of the game, BT choosing a Dipper cocom, media pile on, etc, etc, it’s nauseating in the extreme, so to conclude:

Fuck you Dipper wankers.

Correct.

They blame us for ruining football.

If you ask me they should be thanking us.

The reality is we've raised the bar so high that the premier league has now become the high end product they've been desperately trying to sell for years.

If anything is ruining football it's their lack of impartiality and constant spin.

They crave for a tight title challenge but bleat about it when we're involved.

I'm not sure whether it's lost on them but the past few seasons it's been us and another fighting for the title?

We never hear about that.

Last weekend step-son went to Caldy-Sale rugby match. Caldy is on the Wirral. If Caldy (their last match) won they’d be promoted, if Sale won, they had a chance of being promoted as they had another match still
Said to him ‘it’ll kick off in the ground, being scousers’ - got a quizzical sceptical look back, being polite ‘class’ rugby supporters, rather than ‘Neanderthal’ football supporters.

… and lo and behold , it did.
