For those of us old enough to remember, John Giles was a sublime footballer who went on to be a rather poor manager.
That said, it's so rare to hear a pundit speak positively about a potential City signing, that it us actually hartening.

Probably the wrong thread but here goes. Today I was with my drinking friends and like I’ve mentioned before they support various teams in the prem and else where. Being the only blue has per usual I’m batting questions off like you do then somebody mentioned the rags winning the treble to which I replied no English club apart from City have won all domestic trophies in the same season. This was accompanied with howls of derision and I said google it. Now I know our achievements are brushed under the carpet but fucking hell even I couldn’t find this achievement on google. Until I came across a Spanish paper Marca and had to scroll halfway down to find us and our record. How fucking sad is that?

Just googled who were only team to win England domestic treble. Rags were first up even though they didn’t and we were second up.

I particularly liked him saying they were disappointed not winning the PL as they expected City would ‘bottle it again.’ Again???

He’ll be 64 this year and yet, if you read anything he writes and didn’t know better, you‘d swear it was the ramblings of a 13 year old!
