The DT this morning has an article where Arsene is proposing to ditch throw-ins and have kick-ins. There's also talk of ditching the 45 mins and having 30 with a clock counting down. If the latter is the case it's pretty clear we've only been getting an hour of ball in play. Haven't we known that for decades?

He also suggests that throw-ins are a time-waster and he's concerned that patience is limited among the younger generation. No, Arsene, I have no patience at all for a fucking whistling wanker who ignores the written laws of the game, and I've been watching football longer than he has- although whenever he was asked about a certain incident involving an Arse offence he never saw it, so he couldn't have seen much football when he was in charge of Islington. Football has always had an opportunity to deal with time wasters - it's called 'a referee'! My experience has been that refs have ignored time wasting unless the goalie is called Ederson and for other goalies a sanction on 87mins. What does he think will happen with kick-ins? We'll have a repeat of every goalkeepers goal kick performance but from the touch line.

No word about sanctioning timewasting goalkeepers spending thirty seconds on every goalkick.

I’d much rather they lost Mane. No idea why you think it’s a positive for us if they keep him mate? I’m sure Klopp would be ecstatic if he stays
I’m just thinking 6 forwards will be a tough ask to keep them happy. I’m with you, I think Mane has been their most important player up front but Bayern won’t be bullied, they’re usually the bully. I also think their budget for Nunez includes the departure of Mane for hard cash and wages reasons.

Mane is apparently dating that highly strung reporter off Sky, Melissa Reddy, she’s based in the UK, perhaps he needs to put a bit of distance between him and her.

Danny Murphy desperately trying to convince Alan Brazil that Haaland will spoil City’s superb midfield attack & passing play. Brazil having none of it - saying a Phil & KDB will find him a joy to play with.

Dippers meanwhile have signed a future megastar who will slot in perfectly:)

It's been a shit paper ever since they changed its name from The Manchester Guardian.
That wasn't the subtle point I was making though :-)
I was hinting at a certain poster who has banned us from reading it so we wouldn't see that article.
And separately, it is always good to read two different/sides views. On the one hand you can read reports aimed at Reginald Smythe-Brown, Major General 41st Bengal Lancers, (ret.d) or reports aimed at Che Guevara.
Then again you can just look at big breasts in the Sun.

Absolutely, which is why I cast my eye over Mrs Ewing's DT. Depending on the front page of the sports section it either goes straight in the bin, or I read, like today, what the luminaries at Uefa are upto, transforming the game for the good of the viewing public, or filling its own coffers.

Murphy doesn’t really believe what he’s saying, he’s playing the bad cop and Brazil the good cop, it’s all scripted mate, to get white van drivers, dippers and rags to phone in and side with Murphy.

Talksport 2 this morning with some Scottish woman and a Chelsea no nothing.

Nunez to score more goals.
Nunez to be more of a success.
Haaland to escape to Madrid after 3 years.
The best one might be Haaland to struggle as he's "not good enough of a footballer".

Honestly at this point its embarassing.

It’s always good to keep in touch with the enemies thinking.

ridiculous idea, every kick-in inside the opposition half will turn in to a set piece for the majority of teams - will take much longer - effectively like a corner or freekick which take much lnoger on average than throw ins.

Precisely why I believe City are in safe hands for the foreseeable.

Despite the wish of our friends in the media & rivals across Europe for our majority owner to be removed through an independent regulator as ‘state’ funding, the reality is that the government wouldn’t dare given the business, both security & cultural, between the UAE & UK that Sheikh Mansour & Khaldoon are central to.

In fact football is such small fry on the grand scheme of things, it’s laughable these chancers even believe they’re operating on the same planet as our top brass.
Correct. The UK’s three biggest offshore wind farms were all funded by AbuDhabi which also has a share in their management. I think there are about 27 major projects with AbuDhabi’s involvement.
