Why werent the press/media all talking about this Nunez before the dippers showed an interest. Why werent other clubs after him ? I mean a 100 million pound player would be wanted by lots of clubs.

Just looked at my' news feeds' on my mobile, and MEN came up.
There's a feature on Manchester Day and 11 ways in much Manchester changed the world. Amongst the stuff you would expect on Emmeline Pankhurst, Peterloo, Railways, Music, Computing etc.. there is unsuprusingly a bit on football and the formation of the football league.
Surprisingly though there is a picture of a team wearing blue with the caption 'Champions of England! .How did that slip through the net? Surely they have to change the picture and caption to somehow include a team wearing red!!!

What football fan really gives a fuck what their club paid for any player, is my response. I don't care what the package is for the player or who was paid what.

I pay to watch good football, I support MCFC, not MCFC's accountancy team.

Honestly I have never heard of Nunez. I dont follow European football. But I would know who the big transfer targets are within Europe. A 100million pound player I have never heard of seems odd.

He would normally be linked with the rags, RM, Barca etc but nothing. No other club seemed to be interested Nunez so why pay so much ?

I presume the relatively low fee they received for Mane was a bit of a quid pro quo for Thiago, which is fair enough I guess. Seeing the tabloids portray the fee as some kind of victory for Liverpool is a bit much though, if not unexpected.

I would tend to look at it this way, they got more than they paid for him and he was a top player for them when he was there

Mane's transfer from Southampton to livarpool was 34m quid rising to 36m with add ons (which we can assume he met the threshold for)

Mane's transfer from livarpool to Bayern is 27.4m quid with the possibility of it rising to 35.1m

They haven't got back more than they spent, but I don't much care about the money side of things, I was just correcting your error.

Good player gone, which probably weakens one of our closest rivals who will then hopefully need time to readjust and bed in new signings, is all I really care about.
