For once there’s a fair article on BBC Sport, Jermaine Jenas hitting the nail on the head about us needing a striker and deserving to win yesterday.

Though I often find him somewhat bland and a bit cliched in fairness that was a decent article. What is telling is how taken aback I was to see it, it pretty much sticks out like a sore thumb compared to most of the BBC coverage.

Shearer’s analysis was predictable and negative. Rather than focus on how well we played it was all about how much better we’d be with a striker. Never get the credit we deserve, and no thought as to whether our mega high pressing game works better without a striker, or indeed maybe scoring 2 goals at Anfield is really easy?

Lee Dixon is a good old school pundit and a proper blue. Far better than the bland chirpy media trained halfwits like Jenas and Redknapp who’ve hijacked modern punditry.

Having a different opinion than you on whether or not a goal should have stood doesn’t make him any less of a blue. Unless you’re 8 years old - then it might quite upset you I suppose
Lee Dixon “a proper Blue”?! Fucking hell

He seems to have a lot of contrary views on City these days, it is almost like he has to prove he wasn't a fan once upon a time.

He is as much of a gobshite as Redknapp, Jenas announced a millisecond after that brilliant block by Rodri that he hasn't played his best game but that block makes up for it, I think Anus must have been asleep in the first half or had his head in his hands at the dominance of our play.

They are all bitter deluded cunts.

A guy I’ve known for years (dipper) said, when I told him that they were lucky Milner had stayed on the pitch, that when we won the title in Vinnie’s last season, Vincent shouldn’t have been on the pitch to score the wonder goal because he’s got away with a red card offence earlier that game or in a previous game so shouldn’t have been playing…

sort of like a scouser in court asking for previous crimes to be taken into consideration…

That excuse was clearly stored on his “I’m offended” memory bank and not the “I’m embarrassed” one
Probably that time he nearly 'killed' Salah with the perfect slide tackle.

He supports Arsenal. He doesn't seem to have any feelings for City anymore, he maybe did in the past. He's also a shocking pundit in my opinion.

Correct. He actually stated he is not a city fan in either a tweet or on TV, I can't remember as it was a few years a go but he not a blue.

They claim he should have been sent off against Liverpool at home. I don’t see how if he had got sent off in January that it would have mattered him scoring a rocket in May?
