Product placement. Nothing more nothing less. If I had the money, I'd pay a phd student to carry out research into coverage of these clubs. I'm sure advertising must be against the BBC's charter.
That quaint notion was ditched some time ago. The BBC even slip an advertisement of an upcoming BBC programme into the national news!

The BBC has a commercial subsidiary called BBC Studios which rakes in about £1.5 billion every year. Advertising is very lucrative to the BBC.

With the state that the rags are in now Im surprised the bellend hasnt "lost interest in football" currently.

Of course, claiming to be rag "fans" gives these washed up pop lightweights every chance of getting on the bbc.
