The fuckwits writing for BBC Sport can’t even get their simple facts right about us.

This bollocks in the article about Vinny:
The charges against City, who were taken over by the Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, relate to a period between 2009 and 2018 - during which the club won all six of its Premier League titles.

Fucking ignorant bellends simply don’t know what they’re writing about.
I think the opposite. They know full well they are misleading their readers and getting the reaction they want.

In the unlikely event of the premier league being successful in enough serious charges to warrant kicking us out of the league then the most likely scenario would be the 18th team would be safe from relegation. The championship would welcome us with open arms, the level of media coverage and additional revenue for the clubs if we had a season in the championship would be welcomed.
It's all ifs and buts, but personally I would bet the mortgage on none of the above happening.

I would not say the whole thing is a storm in a teacup, but I am 100% certain that the long term ramifications will be nothing like as serious as mischief-making media are making out, and opposing clubs and fans are dreaming.

***At worst*** we'll have to "take a pinch" as we did last time. Will Pep still be around? I doubt it, but then again I think he's on his way out anyway tbh. And OT I know but I am not actually that bothered. We look stale and out of ideas and I have long since come to the conclusion that we are not winning the CL with Pep at the helm anyway.

If we've stayed within 'legal rules' and acted 'within the law', I have no problem with it.

What I'm saying is that if we, or any other club, have broken the rules and/or otherwise cheated their way to success, (even to the extent of simply staying in the PL) I would expect them to be expelled. Cheats should never prosper.

I've not been brainwashed as you suggest. I'm just an honest man who wants to see fair play in the people's game rather than obsessive greed.
I dislike the PL and UEFA with a genuine passion. They've ruined football for me. It doesn't mean that I condone breaking the rules.

If City have broken the rules or stretched the rule do you honestly believe those other 8 or 9 clubs and more haven’t done the same or worse.

You do know that you don't have to read it, don't you?

It's no more than lazy journalism by lazy ex-students who are paid by the word to produce clickbait for a gullible public.

It's the ramblings of idiots aimed at winding up people who have nothing better to do in their lives than worry about multi billionaire club owners and multi millionaire footballers.

Ignore it. The multi billionaire owners obviously do.

..and:
"Following the allegations, Uefa launched an investigation and ruled in 2020 that that City committed "serious breaches" of FFP regulations between 2012 and 2016.

However, a two-year ban from European competitions was overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) later that year.

The Premier League's investigation started in December 2018."

They're subtle with it, but we know what they're doing.

You’ve been brainwashed mate.

What rules are ok to break, faking head injuries, getting games called off for fake bombs. Attacking coaches or faking Covid results. How about rules regarding hacking scouting databases.

Rules are broken every day so what rules deserve expulsion? Oh I know the ones that you are told are so serious you could be kicked out.

Pathetic, get a grip.

You've been brainwashed my friend. It is undeniable that the 'rules' were introduced as a way of the old guard cheating the system themselves, stopping any newly rich clubs from catching them.

They have then used the media to push the narrative that if these old guard created cheating 'rules' are broken, the clubs breaking them would themselves be the ones cheating.

In my opinion, even if the club have used LEGAL accountancy methods to enable us to catch the cretins that set these rules, I will support them to the end, found guilty or not.

The reality is that the club will have stayed on the right side of the law and close enough to the 'rules' to avoid any serious sanctions after all is said and done.

It is interesting though that the old guard and the media have been so relentless and persistent that they have even got blues like you thinking that these corrupt rules set to protect the old guard are in some way legal or morally correct.

The fact that you would actually want our great club to be kicked out of the league based on corrupt rules set to protect the likes of the rags and scousers is astounding.

You are Martin Samuel and I claim my £5

top post by the way

Exactly. And I would expect the same treatment for them.

There may well be similar activity underway in relation to other clubs. The simple fact is that the rate of our financial growth since 2008 makes City the most obvious (and probably easiest) target for an enquiry. I'd presume that Chelsea would be second, and everyone will be keeping a close eye on Newcastle.

It may well be that our financial wizards aren't quite as clever as those of other clubs, or that the amounts involved in other cases aren't worth pursuing.

We are all desperate for our owners to be found to be honest, honourable business folk. Just like Pep Guardiola, we genuinely want to believe that to be true.

Time will tell, but if the City Group are found to be 'bent', I for one, would never forgive them, and I would expect any supporter of any club in a similar position to feel exactly the same.
