I don't know what the fuck his problem is. Even if we were state-owned, which we aren't, what does the will of the Abu Dhabi state have to do with it? Do they exert some kind of mind control over the opposition. Mansour Xavier style? Or do they just put good people in charge and manage them properly? Pseudo-intellectual bollocks.

And he is Vice-President, dickhead.
Why does he mention Newcastle in the teams we have to play? A consistently thick ****

As a professional "writer" he's probably paid around £300k a year. You'd think someone paid that much, in a job like that, might be able to meet a basic requirement to express himself clearly and unequivocally, based on facts.
Not any wonder the country is fooked, 300 grand for putting pen to paper, bizarre.

Always like listening to the Guardian podcast after a good City win to hear the moaning

Joke about City's millions in the intro, Barry Glendenning sounding upset saying its a worrying sign for the rest of Europe, bemoaning our 9 game winning run and how ominous it looks for everyone

Lovely
Can't believe this far into the thread no one's mentioned Barry "dick pictures" glendenning?! There's a register for him....

The same Glendenning who always used to give Sunderland a mention but now says he's not that invested in them anymore and apparently goes watching Dulwich Hamlet. Daft Barry coming to a club near you sounds more ominous and worrying for Europe in that he might end up supporting one of their clubs.
Barry, like a lot of Guardian journos, comes across as someone who doesn't even like football.
Watches games in the pub and then gets paid to go on a podcast to talk about them though

Glendenning and Rushden are quite open and upfront in their hatred of all things Man City. They were once quite snide with their quips but Talksport and the Guardian now give them free reign!

I know it's sad and tired (bit like myself) to bring this up, but I watched half an hour or so of Chelsea's game, but never heard how much the most expensive premier league player cost ( like most PL tv coverage). Anyone hear ? Cost of team/squad/bench? Nope?!
Yes, I remember Lampard spending 222M in a week after Chelsea’s transfer ban finished and they were praised for doing good business. Double standards, and when you mention to the average hard of thinking football fan that Everton and Fulham have outspent us over the last five years, they start banging on about agent fee’s, which only we pay apparently

Like his mate who emigrated and presents the show from Australia while lecturing the government on it's immigration policy. Why Rushden has to bring it into a football podcast, only he knows.

Since when did sky sports news care so much about Bayern?

Story after story about them, who cares!

I mean, unless they are totally deflecting the defeat at ours and just burying it under this Mane/Sane bollocks, but they wouldn't do that surely not!
