What annoyed me more was the misleading sports headline.

"Dias admits City are dreaming of winning the treble."

He said no such thing. He talked about how he uses visualisation of what to expect from arsenal strikers in the game.
Headlines and quoted comments are two very different things, it's just what journalists do.

See the media narrative has changed over the last couple days to Arsenal are the plucky underdogs against big bad City and have nothing to lose.
Most of the pundits on espn claiming Arsenal winning the title would be bigger than City winning the CL. It's like listening to a bunch of schoolboys all shouting 'my dads bigger than yours'.

Nice headline with a little "the best way for man city to bottle the treble" tagline added on for good measure....

WOW! (NOT read it, as that's the whole purpose of the hook and bait ;)
"But Erling Haaland will need to finally turn up"
Thats in the first line from a certain Matthew Stead written yesterday? I mean what chance have you got with dickheads writing shit like that?

The negative way we are covered in the media looks stranger by the day. But I don't think it reflects the majority view of other football fans. During my various travels round London over the weekend I bumped into lots of rival fans including Sheffield United, Palace, Milllwall, and West Ham fans. Not a single one mentioned Arab oil money or cheating. The Millwall and West Ham fans said they were delighted by our success because they hate United, Arsenal, but, most of all, Liverpool fans. The Blades' fans said they loved our football and loved Tommy Doyle and James McAtee. I know there were a few young knobheaads knocking about after the match slagging us off but they really were a tiny minority of their mostly great fanbase. Sometimes it is easy to forget how much the media is out of touch with public opinion in this country.
This. It just further proves how out of touch the 'journalists' are. Its evident on Twitter more recently that fans of other clubs are seeing through the shite they print too.

Didn't this Herbert call us "grubby fans"or something similar? this for me is crossing the line and should not get past the editor. He may have an agenda like most shills but calling out the fans who spend hard earned money to support their team is ultimately so unprofessional. I think I might have read on here somebody came looking for him in the press box and he shat himself.

Have a laugh at his column today. Him pictured with his family in the Wrexham end and saying how the owners have given pride back to the community.

There are collectively more fans of the redshirts than there are the rest. That’s why we are covered in this way.

Watch out for Newcastle coverage getting grimmer next year if they secure CL and make a decent run at the title or FA Cup

Agreed.

Just 22 players used in the league.
4 of them haven't a start between them (Gomez. Phillips. Palmer and Perrone) and have played a combined 450 minutes total.
1 of them - Cancelo- no longer with us.

TBF to Sam Maaterface he mentioned how “lean” our squad is during the FA Cup comms. First media person I’ve heard buck the “2 world class players for every position” narrative.

If you run through the positions we kind of do but only because several of the players can operate very well in multiple roles, which gives depth through talent rather than numbers of players. Great coaching and planning rather than financial moght
