If we win the treble we will have to get more than 90 points with close to 100 PL goals. We haven't conceded any goals in the FA Cup so far and will have to defeat our closest rivals in the final. So far we are unbeaten in the CL, have conceded just two goals, and are the highest scorers in the competition. In fact in all competitions we are the highest scorers in Europe. To win the CL we will have beaten Borussia Dortmund, Seville, Leipzig, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and one of the Milan giants in the final. This season have scored four or more goals in matches against Arsenal, Liverpool, United, Chelsea, Spurs, three against Bayern Munich and seven against RB Leipzig. If we are poor for drawing away, does that make Real even worse for drawing at home?
Even if we win the treble and this trophy after annihilating our group and then beating Bayern and Real along the way to the final, there will still be negative media stories, but we always knew it would be like that
We will have won the treble by scoring more goals, conceding less goals, winning more matches, achieving more league points (in a treble season) than any team ever.
If we achieve this we will be the greatest English team in football history. But large elements of the English press and broadcast media will continue to demean and disrespect our club because they are incapable of being impartial and fair. Some of this negativity is driven by commercial motives but some of it has been driven by racism towards our owner. This is still the large elephant in the room in the UK media. That's why certain national radio pundits can make statements (just yesterday) like: "The only thing English about City is their location," and remain unpunished.
