If we are poor for drawing away, does that make Real even worse for drawing at home?

Even if we win the treble and this trophy after annihilating our group and then beating Bayern and Real along the way to the final, there will still be negative media stories, but we always knew it would be like that
If we win the treble we will have to get more than 90 points with close to 100 PL goals. We haven't conceded any goals in the FA Cup so far and will have to defeat our closest rivals in the final. So far we are unbeaten in the CL, have conceded just two goals, and are the highest scorers in the competition. In fact in all competitions we are the highest scorers in Europe. To win the CL we will have beaten Borussia Dortmund, Seville, Leipzig, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and one of the Milan giants in the final. This season have scored four or more goals in matches against Arsenal, Liverpool, United, Chelsea, Spurs, three against Bayern Munich and seven against RB Leipzig.
We will have won the treble by scoring more goals, conceding less goals, winning more matches, achieving more league points (in a treble season) than any team ever.
If we achieve this we will be the greatest English team in football history. But large elements of the English press and broadcast media will continue to demean and disrespect our club because they are incapable of being impartial and fair. Some of this negativity is driven by commercial motives but some of it has been driven by racism towards our owner. This is still the large elephant in the room in the UK media. That's why certain national radio pundits can make statements (just yesterday) like: "The only thing English about City is their location," and remain unpunished.

I thought the Mark Halsey one was a spoof but it is a real story on the Mail website. The coverage is unbelievable really.
I had a look at the Mail website the other day and absolutely nothing about us at all, the section devoted to the FA cup was just about the rags and the section devoted to the CL was only about other PL teams like Arsenal qualifying for next year's CL!!!

Headlines and narratives for our games are always written well before the game:

If we'd have lost "Madrid in pole position."
If we'd have won "Remember last year, Madrid are never beaten".
Coz we drew away "Are City still favourites?"

Stuart Pearce saying City need more punch???......ha ha ha ha ha....oh the fucking irony!! That clueless c*** with his own managerial 'genius' had us scoring a grand total of 10 goals in 19 home games. And they allow him airtime as a so-called expert? Fuck off........(Pearce, not you Herrock!)
Think he has been sacked, from EVERY football job he has had, including England. But talk sport for some reason think he is the dogs b.

Agreed.

And a corker of a quote from our good friend Simon Jordan over at talksport. The same line (right or wrong) could be applied to pretty much every Premier League side, so, as you say, the motivation behind his view has to be driven by something else. The rags are every bit American as we are Abu Dhabi and yet the media narrative is still that they are a great British institution whilst we are some sort of sold out foreign company masquerading as a local club.

Here we go. Reported in the Fail. With unoffical, untested unproven and inconclusive in-house technology BeIN Sports have declared that the ball went out of play before City's equaliser. Overlooking of course that Madrid regained possession but lost it again in the second phase.

I wonder how Jordan talks about our ownership when he is in private company. About 15 years ago I used to spend a lot of my time in North West business circles. It meant I got to meet a lot of senior Directors at football clubs. The level of racism (and anti-semitism) was shocking. I grew up in the 60s and 70s in South Manchester (Withington) which was quite a diverse area and very racially tolerant, especially compared to other areas. Bernard Manning would not have been out of place in some of those football boardrooms. And this was between 2002 and 2011 not the 1970s.

Not 1 bit surprised by Rio. Neville is the same. It will crush them if we win the champions league never mind the treble. That emotion is pure fear. Bt love the tribalism after Sky let Carragher and Neville do it daily. No need to be impartial when u employ rags/dips as u can hide behind it.

It’s all for attention. Sad bastards. Turn it off.
bantz the kids call it

I genuinely don't understand why anybody moans about Talksport, BT or Sky. Don't listen and don't watch. If you pay them money you're part of they problem. There are better broadcasters out there.....usually.
Don't mention the useless fat oaf Keys on beIN. Anti-City to the blimp's core.
