The artist who did this tweeted that the finishing touches had to be left very late due to Arsenal remaining in contention so long. Was quite a race to get it completed when City's successful charge overwhelmed.

Sam Lee had the rags and liverpool fans foaming at their mouths and spitting with rage for daring to suggest we're not guilty of anything yet and that these historic charges have no bearing on Peps titles.

I noticed he mentioned how money had bought Premier League titles in the past, but specifically mentioned Chelsea, and forgot the other team that were richer than everyone else for most of the time.

When he sounded a bit shifty talking about growing up supporting "another team", it made sense.

Sam Lee sounded fed up, and I can understand why. I think there's sadly been a bit of a tipping point with this title (ironic that Arsenal's collapse has made it look easy, when it was likely to have gone to the last day again). The Athletic comment sections are simply pointless. It used to be mostly talk about City/tactics/players, and a few people would argue about the other crap on one long thread. Now, it's 90% ignorant rants about cheating.

Another angle I would like to explore on city being state owned or "state run' seems to be the latest term is how is this control and management actually achieved. E g Are powers delegated to Sheikh Mansour, does he have to reger certain decisions to them, do the state approve appointments, spending etc .? Of course they don't . There maybe other specialists in this who know exactly what controls there would be in place but I know enough to know there would be a lot of controlling documents in place if we were state run.
Just wanted to flag up how much shit they talk that we are state run/owned but no idea probably never even crossed their minds this would need an actual governing constitution.

I think that's a really interesting point. There is absolutely nothing to gain with state-ownership from the perspective of either party. The sheik does not want government bureaucracy involved in what is his private project and the AD government do not want to be involved in the micro-management of a football club - why would they? I hadn't considered it in that way before and I'm sure the great unwashed hordes who support our red-top friends had'nt.
