We will never win with the English media. But things are changing abroad, especially in the USA, where there is not a culture of jealousy which means anyone who is successful is targeted. I have watched a couple of recent matches with the US coverage (I am recovering from surgery so can't attend games for now). It is like chalk and cheese compared to SKY and the BBC. Fair, balanced, with the emphasis on celebrating brilliance. SKY and the BBC are incapable of producing impartial and professional coverage and the press is even worse. It's truly pathetic and modern life where eating a bowl of fucking cornflakes is analysed as to what is the most effective way to do it.
Haaland scored three goals. That's all I want my centre forward to do, stick the ball in the back of the net. You can have a player running around like a blue arsed fly everywhere and it looks great but if they don't score it isn't
On the media, the wankathon on Liverpool's win is, as expected, sickening and over the top. Now yes, 9-0 is obviously an impressive scoreline but it was against a woeful Bournemouth who were beyond shite yesterday. The scousers also had one of those games everything they hit went in. Our win was much more impressive turning a 0-2 deficit around against a tough well disciplined Palace side, but nothing changes eh?
The most stupid thing is that English football has been transformed in the last ten years and the PL is the greatest asset the UK could possible have. Football is now our biggest export and generates huge wealth in this country (not just for the players either). But this story has been missed by most of the media because of their fixation on the past.
