BBC are unreal, from the Norway match report “Manchester City striker Erling Haaland played the full 90 minutes for Norway, and had four shots, but failed to score for the 10th time in 23 international games” I am sure I have never seen reports on the number of games other strikers have failed to score in at international level, or even if they mentioned this before he joined us. No balance with the number of goals he has scored in international football and it’s nearly a goal a game. Bbc sports are not fit for purpose
more importantly how many touches did he have

Perhaps they are struggling to find a goal without his massssssive bold spot. Oh wait, it is pubetastic.

Apologies if already posted, but just noticed this article about CFG buying Bahia in Brazil. Quotes attributed to Soriano include "all of Manchester City’s partners need to play a ‘beautiful game’ and fight for at least one title in every season. " and "‘our interest is to be hated". As they take a club that is everyone's second team and turn them in to perpetual winners. They understand us so well!

I thought Phil looked like a headless chicken in a shapeless performance by the team. He got little service and tried desperately to get into the game which meant he was running into other players spaces. He Is still not at a stage where he puts his foot on the ball and starts to dictate play and that was desperately needed.
Yes. The lad was trying to hard and getting frustrated a lot. Still a joy to watch though.

Neville's book being given airtime on the Sky website. I don't know how he can keep a straight face coming out with guff like this without mentioning his vested interests as owner of a lower league club;

"The independent regulator should be regulatory experts, financial experts, not necessarily experts in football. They should oversee a fairer distribution model, sustainability, real-time financial management, prevent Derby and Macclesfield and Wigan and Bury situations happening"

Quite who all these "experts" are going to be and how their independence is assured isn't explained. Neither is he asked what his idea of a "fit and proper" owner is. In fact, no-one seems to know. Seems to me to be a soundbite that means what supporters of individual clubs want it to mean if it hampers other clubs or if they want rid of their own.

Oddly, the oversight of football never bothered him one iota when united were sweeping the board and he didn't own a club but as he explains;

"I feel more empowered to speak now and I feel stronger about those big issues that affect the game"

I bet he fucking does.
Would an independent regulator stop really rich people employing their mate as a manager of the team he owns, even though the mate has no experience in managing any kind of football team, never mind a very good one ? Mind you Neville is talking about England not Spain where of course that would never happen.......
