This was certainly my lowest point as a Blue and I had travelled from Edinburgh to watch it.Piss wet through that night , car broke down on way home. The true benchmark game. We should have received a medal.
I’m impressed. i wonder what the attendance was that day. Probably over 20mill.I watched City play Total Network Solutions (TNS) at the Millennium Stadium back in 2003.
Does that count??
You're more impressed than my girlfriend (now wife) was at the time. I decided I'd better marry her after dragging her along on that trip! ;-)I’m impressed. i wonder what the attendance was that day. Probably over 20mill.

(Man City win 7-0 on aggregate) Manchester City booked their place in the first round proper of the Uefa Cup with a comfortable win over Welsh minnows TNS to complete a resounding aggregate victory. Kevin Keegan's men twice added to the first leg score, midfielder Christian Negouai netting two minutes before half-time and Darren Huckerby notching with nine minutes to go. Keegan made 10 changes from the first leg, deciding to rest a host of first-team players with the tie all-but over. It gave the former England boss a chance to run the rule over some of the club's fringe players, and young Irish defender Willo Flood made his debut. TNS, clearly fearful of another thrashing, defended deep in their own half and City pressed forward from the opening whistle. The visitors should have extended their aggregate lead when Eyal Berkovic sent Darren Huckerby racing through the middle. But Huckerby carried the ball too close to Dean Williams' goal and the keeper managed to block the shot with his legs.
TNS had a decent chance of their own 10 minutes before half-time, but Martin Naylor's goalbound shot deflected off Richard Dunne and clipped the outside of the post. Just two minutes before half-time City deservedly went in front, Negouai capitalising on a defensive blunder to lash the ball home from six yards. Keegan resisted the temptation to make changes at the interval and City came out looking determined to add to their already substantial lead. But TNS almost embarrassed Nicky Weaver - standing in for the rested David Seaman - when the former England Under-21 stopper had to back-pedal furiously to tip Gary Brabin's outrageous 45-yard lob over the crossbar. City suffered a blow on the hour mark when former Preston striker Jon Macken took a knock on his shin and had to be replaced, Shaun Wright-Phillips taking his place. Huckerby rounded off the night with a second goal, prodding home after good work from Wright-Phillips. TNS: Dean Williams, Naylor, King, Brabin, Aggrey, Taylor, Ruscoe, Jamie Wood, James Wood, Simon Davies, Leah. Subs: Doherty, Bridgewater, Toner, Wild, Justin Perry, Beck, Steve Evans. Man City: Weaver, Flood, Dunne, Wiekens, Bischoff, Tiatto, Bosvelt, Negouai, Berkovic, Huckerby, Macken. Subs: Stuhr-Ellegaard, Whelan, Distin, Sinclair, Barton, Wright-Phillips, Jihai. Think meant to be at Wrexham but Rugby league onRemind me again how that game was at the millennium?
Negouia actually found his level there, lolTrafford would have felt at home there aswell being a Thursday night.
I seem to have forgotten.Avoid reading the guardian, but if the article is referring to Russians based in Dubai, then surely Arsenal should be the main target of their ire, given that is where Emirates Airline are based and Arsenals biggest sponsor.
The same people who claim we are state owned, are the same people who claim we broke FFP rules and only got off because of clever lawyers. this is impossible. We were found guilty by UEFA of disguised owner investment , sheikh Mansour our majority owner was funding the Etihad sponsorship, as we all know an airline owned by Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund IE the state. you can believe we are state owned or you can believe we were guilty of breaching FFP but you can't believe both.See the Guardian are up to their old tricks again before a big game at Anfield.
“Premier league is asked if it has investigated Manchester City owner over Russian Allegations”.
Owner? Does that mean the league has to ask Abu Dhabi or Mansour? Make your fucking mind up you lying sacks of shit. State this and state that until it don’t suit the agenda. Can’t stop us on the field nor commercially off the field. What’s left? Oh yeah, the dirty Muslim owner.
The fight to keep the good name of MCFC out of the media gutter is ongoing.
Yes and i think me and a few others might be up for the prize. full members /Simod cup hull city away.If there is going to be a competition about going to away games when we were shit, then Wrexham on Boxing Day should be the winner rather than York. As that was the game we went into in our lowest ever league position.
Emirates Airlines, they don't mind the sponsorship money, but heaven forbid the wogs should own and run a successful football club.I seem to have forgotten.
Who is the FA Cup sponsored by?
Qatar.Owner? Does that mean the league has to ask Abu Dhabi or Mansour?
