Clear as daylight that, I now understand how VAR works
Yes, VAR would give the penalty, I never said it wasn't a penalty, just he dived or threw himself to the ground in an exaggerated fashion (if you like that sound better.) that really is undeniable and that was the point of my involvement.

That guy should be signed up by a major sports journal. The fact he's fair, accurate and truthful means he won't unfortunately.
How to write yerself out of a job - tell the truth, explain what has gone on impartially, give credit to the opposition, and make sure the best in the game is at the centre of the report!

I did, and after reading your subsequent messages, I think you are actually saying it was a foul. So really, we are of the same opinion, in that it was indeed a rightfully awarded penalty.
I do, it was a discussion about him throwing himself to the ground AFTER the touch.

One of those posts you regret posting regardless whether it was true, sometimes it isn't worth it lol

Yes, awful decision and I also remember what this discussion was about, maybe you should read the first post I made, it might help.
I don't need to research.
If you are touched in the box and don't go over you don't get a penalty.
If you are touched in the box and go over the ref has to make a decision. Whether the fall is classified as a dive is the refs problem and var can sort it out.
The amount of times I've seen scousers do this (remember Fulham a couple of years ago for one?) and got 3 points is unbelievable.
It isn't diving, it is gamesmanship, and the refs have VAR to help them out now.

You really should read my first post.

The clue would be I never said it wasn't a penalty, though one man's gamesmanship is another man's diving and another ones cheating.

But the reply was to somebody saying he had had his leg dragged away from him and then he fell as he spun, that isn't true and that is what I replied to by saying he dived by throwing himself to the floor after feeling the touch.

It really was quite a simple statement, I also said other things about being glad, about boiling scousers piss, gave an example like you about us not getting blatant pens for hacks in the box but yeah it is now an argument about it being a penalty, something I never ever said wasn't.

When England won the world cup in 66 you could be jailed for being homosexual. Never mind Britain's human rights record in kenya a few years earlier
If you were an especially lucky homosexual you could avoid jail by agreeing to be chemically castrated.
I’ll start to believe the current frenzy about gay rights in Qatar isn’t a front for racism when the same journalists and pundits who are pushing it so vehemently also begin an earnest campaign to have the 1966 World Cup tournament expunged from the records.

White Christian homophobia = Good.
Brown Muslim homophobia = Bad.

The Football World Cup has in fairly recent history been held in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Russia, USA, South Africa.
All countries with much worse human rights records than Qatar but I don't remember much fuss being made..even in Russia. There is an army of ill-informed hacks currently riding the anti-Arab gravy train. Some of them are making good money out of their newly-found consciences. Why do they only have a problem with countries of Arabic origin?

agree with you here and its even worse when you google it theres no articles or much about and these so called journalists quote ammisty international well if you go look on there website theres articles damming the south africa world cup. I wounder why people like miggy had nothing to say back then as hes such an' award winnging journalist'. its laughable. Its also clear they only care when these countries have imput into a football club thats ambitious because theres no outrage about sheffield united wonder why.

He was a forest fan then! he is pretending to be a rag and look at him making thousands of pounds of if and even talkshite having him on there!
Its Alan Partridge at its finest. He looked at which fan base could be milked the most and there was only 1 plastic show pony in town, ripe for milking!!
