Tbf the shell of what used to be the Indy is now entirely a vanity and political project for some of the world’s most awful human beings, so they might be paying him a premium with zero business case
The fact he refuses to accept even this most basic hypocrisy tells you everything you need to know about his credibility, his credulity and his ‘professionalism’

I know, mate, I was affirming your response. I’ve actually not only talked about this on here at length (for months but also yesterday, even), but Delaney has blocked me on Twitter after we had a lengthy exchange on the subject of his hypocrisy.

I know mate, sorry, it was for the benefit of those who didn’t know the background - their Saudi ‘owner of record’ didn’t actually appear to exist. That was until ‘he’ (ie a Saudi spook/intelligence officer) suddenly appeared with a brand new yet rich and varied online life once people started digging

The media is awash with more stories today on Liverpool dropping out of the race to sign Bellingham. My personal favourite is Andy Hunter in ‘The Guardian’, who has always, does what you could only describe as a fan column for Liverpool FC.

My favourite part - ‘It would have been a summer like no other for Fenway Sports Group had they beaten Europe’s richest clubs to Jude Bellingham and committed in excess of £200m to one Liverpool transfer’

Where the hell did he pull that figure from? No one is paying near £200M! Oh that’s right, he’s done that thing. He’s included an £80M+ wage fee over a 5 year period, in his transfer fee! Which can only mean one thing baby! Welcome to Manchester City!

They're at least 3⁄4 of the way to that with Nunez for Gods sake, why wouldn't they go all the way to a committed £200m for someone at least halfway decent?

He certainly plays City Bingo. I'm not really sure what his conclusion is trying to say other than 'everyone should be worried'. He falls short of claiming we are state owned but flies pretty close to the wind at times. He also tells downright lies about the atmosphere at the Etihad on Tuesday evening. Maybe he just watched it on telly.

He is complimentary with barbs laid all over the place. Is he one of the regulars at Pep's press conferences. I havent heard his name being called?

I hope they do the same to every other clubs players turning up to work in their clapped out Ford Fiestas, no of course they won't

Given the amount of stuff Delaney either doesn't understand or gets completely wrong, I wouldn't want him stacking shelves in my local supermarket.

You'd never find anything and if you pointed out to him that he'd put a palette full of eggs in the Confectionery aisle, he'd just bluster that it was you who didn't understand what an egg was.

Must say, though, big Erl just needs a Stetson hat to go with his white Rolls. Did like Eddie's orange McLaren, very low key '-)))
