Don't mention Halifax! One of my Macho Grande moments. I'm still drying out from that match.
Did it rain? The pitch was on mud but I don't remember getting wet. The only games I remember being in pouring rain were Vienna and a match at Newcastle in the early 70s.

Absolutely. You know, those 7 years (between the 5-1 and the 96 cup game when we got fucked by the ref) were the most formative for me as a Blue.

I was 9 years old, sat on the wall in the corner of the Kippax with my legs dangling through the fence. That game is burned into my memory. Maybe it's my blue-tinted nostalgia, but I remember my older brother and my Dad giving it out to red mates after the game but it was, for the most part, good natured and respectful.

The abuse I got after the 5-0 was vicious, vitriolic and violent.

It's what has always separated us and them.

They're scum. Always have been. Always will be.

It's why we should never, ever lift our foot off their fucking throats. Rag cunts.
Do you mean the curved concrete wall in the windy corner between the north stand and kippax?

Because that's where I used to sit during games! (Weather permitting)

If you ever watch the 10-1 Vs Huddersfield you can see me sat there( that was on my 12th birthday as well!) The video footage is a bit scratchy now but I'm sat near the metal gate wearing a blue and green coat

The £643 cap applies only to statutory redundancy pay. Many businesses also offer non-contractual non-statutory packages based on salary, age and length of service. If the role is genuinely redundant, and based on what I've seen as an employment tax specialist, he could be looking at a package north of six figures.
Beat me to it. I worked in Employer Compliance in the Revenue, in part of the Large Business Service, and my last business card said "Tax Specialist" Oh how we laughed when we received them! Checking redundancy payments in large employers was always a lucrative source of underpaid tax/NIC, as we checked the background to the payments, including initial contracts, variations in contracts, etc, to determine whether the payment was correctly taxed, which was not often the case.

Exactly, mate.

My brother used to wind me up by saying he knew a few kids who'd had their legs broke in that corner after being hit by stray shots.

Used to flinch every time the ball came anywhere near.

Great memories of being sat there. In retrospect, based on what we're used to seeing now, the style of play was garbage (back to front in 3 passes) but weirdly exhilarating to a naive kid. To me, Whitey was the most exciting player in the world.
Back to front in 3 passes sounds fine.

A professional "sport journalist" came out with this, it's beyond belief.

"Once Bayern Munich and Real Madrid were knocked out it was a clear path to the champions league final for Man City,” Miguel Delooney

This would look great on a banner, t shirts, banners.

One for the superb 1894 boys?

As if we needed more evidence of this pricks credentials (we didn't).
Pretty sure he was taking the piss. Just a little wind up

Are you the kid with the ginger hair & zits ?

I am Noticing a lack of urgency in the usual suspect to report and defend city supporters who were on the receiving end of an absolute shitshow.

And of course UEFA refuse to comment on it, we won’t be getting an apology any time soon!
Cunts, and they wonder why we booed their jingle

We should have printed thousands of fake tickets, and forced our way into the stadium, we’d get the sympathy vote then.

UEFA refuse to engage on nightmare for fans at Champions League final https://mol.im/a/12207263 via https://dailym.ai/android
I don’t want that piece of shit asking any questions on my behalf.
It happened, it’s done.
It was horrible at the time and one week on it’s now just a part of that wonderful night.
UEFA don’t give a shit - who’d have thunk it?
p.s. not a dig at you Blue, I fucking hate the British media.
