Meet Wilfried Bony (club keeps promise)

My son is a big Bony fan and wants to meet him. As soon as he signed he bought a full Bony kit from the club website, after the Club advertised on 15th Jan:
"If you're one of the first 50 people to buy a "Wilifried -14" shirt, you can meet the man himself when he returns from international duty. Only the first 50 to purchase a "Wilifried -14" shirt will be guaranteed a space to meet him... Your space will allow you plus one to attend"

He's been waiting for a month for his invite with no reply as yet.

Instead we get another deal advertised on the club website today when "the first 75 fans at the Citystore" opening at 9am will receive an exclusive invitation to meet him at 2pm on Wed 18 Feb. The club say "there are only 75 places available and entry will be on a first come first served basis...One invite will be given per person"

It appears the club has totally ignored it's original promise.

Not to sure what your getting at, was your son one of the first 50 to buy a bony shirt? Also T&Cs can often change at the last minute for these sort of comps, which is probably in the T&Cs, so is this just a rant at being treated badly by the club for not winning?...

We bought the shirt as soon as it was advertised, because of the "guaranteed opportunity to meet Bony". I am positive he would have been one of the first 50 because the purchase was immediate. IMO it's a poor show that the club have ignore the original promise.

Because that would be the normal, logical thing to do, and in our knee jerk society people would rather go on social media and whinge.
I'm only surprised that he hasn't mentioned starting a class action yet.

It looks to me like they didn't reach the 50 target so changed the conditions on the fly.

The obvious thing to do is contact the club and find out if you was in the first 50.

If you wasn't in the top 50, ask them what number you was and if possible what the date and time of the cut off point was for No. 50. Then compare it with your receipt.

If they confirm you was outside the top 50, explain that your son is a huge fan. I'm sure they'll try and assist.
